TomConnThe only bad thing about Microsoft buying Minecraft was the thought of making it a monthly "Pay to Play" game. However it was shut down, so I can't blame them for that.

Microsoft even considered doing that? That would immediately kill the community.

No I don't.
Microsoft helped expand the game itself to more consoles (Phones, Xbox, PS) and while I know that Mojang would probably have done the same, I personally think that Microsoft has been a huge help for them to expand the game.

On top of that - Minecraft Edjucation Edition. I know it's developed by Mojang, but I also belive that Microsoft is a huge help here in getting the word spread to schools and teachers.

So no. The only bad thing about Microsoft buying Minecraft was the thought of making it a monthly "Pay to Play" game. However it was shut down, so I can't blame them for that.

Nope, but I do think it was a bad business decision on microsoft's side and I don't think they'll make their money back.

*Sighs* Another person who thinks it was Microsoft's fault that they released 1.9, and so fourth. They hardly do anything.

Mojang is still fully responsible for further releases, and really, I'm enjoying the new updates.

Microsoft bought Mojang to avoid licensing fees and reap the massive merchandising revenue. They have no hand in game development, other than one thing that was actually very useful - integrating Xbox Live into the Pocket and Windows 10 Editions.

Johnathon's right. I think this is purely something to earn more $$$$, not from a developmental interest. I'm not sure how this bodes in terms of future direction for Minecraft though. Time will tell I guess.

Why do people still complain about Microsoft buying Minecraft? Why don't you kids realize they haven't really done anything to the game at all?

This. Microsoft didn't add/remove any developers. The only thing that has changed, AT ALL, is that Mojang is no longer an independent company.

Microsoft isn't even doing anything to Minecraft and Mojang. They did it so Minecraft can have a Windows 10 Version, Prioritize Windows and Xbox, and Get some of that revenue.
