Yeah, theres no point unlocking this. If we did it would just go straight back to how it was before we removed all of the trolling and off-topic posts. There was some sort of sane argument before it got drowned out by fanboi's. Seriously, both consoles have good and bad points, don't persecute each other just because of your console choice.

Right, this was a "petition" to get it on to PS3, not a flame war over why PS3 is better or why it isn't.

Mojang is probably not going yo work with Sony. They already had a Deal with 4j studios and that deal is bringing in alot of $$$$$$$$$

To settle the conflicts with the Xbox and PS3 zealots, they both have good and bad points. Neither are perfect.
And it's unlikely for it to get on the PS3 because of the deal Microsoft and Mojang made, making Minecraft exclusive for Xbox and PC/Mac.

This is exactly what Microsoft and Sony want everyone to do. Fight, hate and argue. They don't care whether Minecraft is on the Xbox, PS3, or Wii for that matter. They just want the money.
The only reason that it would be a safe bet to say that MC on the PS3 will never happen is because of the deal with Microsoft's exclusive rights to Minecraft. That might change eventually, but I doubt it.
The consoles (excluding the Wii) are all just computers that have been watered down to be cheaper and smaller, and if you ask me, none of this would happen if people either
A. Matured up and stopped fighting
or B. Got better computers and got MC for the PC

Microsoft have got their dirty hands all over this deal to make minecraft a exclusive game, Maybe a timed exclusive like GTA map packs and COD map packs.
We never know, when the studio might develop the PS3 version, but even if they do besides the splitscreen, the PC version is superior in every other way I can mention.

Honestly, I never understood the arguments of anyone defending or attacking a console... I have all the big three, and I love them all. Xbox has Halo and Minecraft, PS3 is much, much better with media and has inFamous and Killzone, and the Wii is just plain awesome with Monster Hunter Tri. If anything, if you want to play with a controller, just go and buy a PC controller for >20$.

I would say the PS3 and Xbox are even in total gaming experience even with the flaws they may have or the advantages they possess. All I want, is just people to get that. I want Minecraft for PS3 whether or not they can or cannot. That is my opinion.

Xbox's don't break easily, people brake it. They get red ringed because you over play it, just buy a fan, they're like 15$
And yes you have to pay for Xbox Live, but it is worth the money.
Most of my friends say the only reason why they have ps3 is because the online is free, if it wasn't, they would all buy an Xbox.

This is not a battle on the stations, yes xboxs require you to pay for online and have a higher chance of failure and the PS3 costs more and does not have the kinect but this is not about that, it is about the possibility on Minecraft coming to PS3. It may not be likley but there is still a chance and thats what you should pay attention to.

Mojang probably won't make minecraft on Xbox, at least not for a long time because Microsoft signed an exclusive deal with Mojang meaning it will be exclusive to XBox.

Well, I'm 15 and a nerd, I don't deny it, I embrace it. So, if anyone needs to "follow the herd" and "fit in" to not be royally hated by everyone else, it's me! and yet i still favor PS3 over Xbox because, as i said earlier, I'm a nerd, which means I'm smart, which means that I look over all the details before making a decision, and once I've made that decision, I don't back down from it untill someone can irrefutably prove me wrong.

I beg to differ about the amount of sales. You have a fair point, but PS3 is used less because of all the mainstream hate it is receiving. And you know kids these days, always wanting to follow the herd. Also, money-making wise this isn't as much of a wise move as selling it for the XBox because of the sheer amount of XBox users and the price they can release it as. Also, you don't need XBL Gold now to buy games. They made XBL free recently, I believe. (You get a ton of perks for buying XBL Gold though.)
...Also, once you purchase a game on the XBox marketplace, you can re-download it so long as you still have the account in which you first bought it (provided you weren't a dummy enough not to remember your XBox Live email and password).

The only reason Minecraft on Xbox is even worth the time is for split screen but now my friend got it on PC so we get on a server together. He actually just sold his xbox since all the games he had on it were on the computer to.

Ya Riot is right. Besides, the ps3 wouldn't be enough of a media market for them to gain profits. They would only get 10-15 million users if that. Whereas on the xbox it was going to be and is a much bigger media market
