Planet MC vs. MC Forums?

PlanetMinecraft, but I still like MCForums though. I kinda use both.

The gist was; does it matter, they're both about minecraft. Why does one have to be better?

I say planet minecraftcraft. It has alot of cool stuff. Server hall . Stuff like that. Minecraft forums sucks. Period.

I would say Planet Minecraft, but you asked this question on a PMC forum. If you asked this on the MC Forums you would get a different result.

On P.M.C it's easier to locate stuff.

I've never seen the minecraft forums, but from what I've heard of them I'd say PMC wins by a Big Bang.

Rather interestingly I've just finished doing my revision on "in group bias" and "out group prejudice".
The basic idea is that reinforce the feeling that we've "made the right decision" by going with a particular thing (in this case PMC over MCF) we find fault with the other side, and find good things about the chosen side.
Rather than write justified opinions people tend to go with "this one because the other one is rubbish" or "everyone on the other one is a meany head!!
So far one person has broken this trend and come up with decent reasoning, and that about fits with the statistics in the rest of life as well.
Here's a nice idea; why "A vs B"? "PMC vs MCF"? Why can't we agree that both sites have been developed to allow the spreading of Minecraft and all the fun associated with it, and leave it at that?

PMC. I have accounts on both and i must say that MCforums is easier to use, and you can show off your creations much more efficiently that MCforums.

PMC kicks a because we have actual stuff no just forums cause they post links in that when we have it organized and sexy!

We have 396,391 members, but MCF has 1,289,325. The next biggest forum I found after us was Minecraft Workbench, at 40,146. So we're the Birmingham to MCF's London.

In terms of our community's strengths, I would say that it's in texture packs, skins, and project sharing, while our weaknesses are in modding and servers. That's not to say it's because the site's functionality for modding and servers are bad - on the contrary, actually. I'm surprised our skins section remains as successful as it is, due to the immense overpopulation issues it has and the slow pace of improvement to it.

The issue is that the perception remains that you go to MCF for Minecraft modding, period. We don't have any really famous native mods. Heck, MCF modders typically don't even bother to link to a mirror here, choosing MediaFire instead, which is pretty sad (not to mention potentially disastrous, if MediaFire gets taken down like MegaUpload). As for servers, I think we just suffer from not being as well known as other popular server listings, as again, we have pretty much every other player in the game beat for richness and utility of interface.

I used to think mcforums was better, until i started using PMC. This site is has a better community i think.

If I preferred MC Forums, then why would I be here?

MCF is good for looking for servers and mods, not so much for anything else.

PMC is good for finding whatever you want whenever you want, but it's not always good quality.

pmc is way more appealing the mcf in my opinion its just more lively here

PMC feels like a cencored joke, but it's better than MC Forums. It'd destroy it completely if there weren't so many forum mods raping everything you say ^^

MCForums is the official Forum for Minecraft, and it is listed in the Minecraft start up, they kind of have that advantage. However, Planet Minecraft has an amazing community, great Moderators and the only cyborg in the universe

Pmc (the only bad thing about pmc is that some of the moderators don't always make the right decisions and can sometimes seem abusive.)

alright, I'm not going to say PMCC1!!1 You got to add things up.

Mcf is a forum website, it has better clans,servers, etc sections. (For forums)
Pmc is a site about minecraft, it has sections, but since it has more, they aren't all as good.
Mcf is hard to find decent skin.
Pmc has a hole popular reel for skins.

on Mcf you go up levels by getting ratings, and posting stuff.
Pmc, you go up levels by posting stuff, getting diamond/favorites, and downloads.

Mcf, you have a fine community. Anyone can be bullied online.
Pmc, you have a fine community to, But I disprove of you allowing diamond lures.

Planet Minecraft is a much better place than MCForums because its more friendly and you can really show off what you can do here than MCForums, also there is more stuff here then there!
