I like Quartz.
Quartz gives as much exp as diamonds, but it far more common and easy to find.
If you need exp to enchant something, and you don't have a mob farm set up yet, you can not do better than going to the nether and mining some quartz real fast.
The best part of it is, eventually someone needs to do a redstone project, and then suddenly you're their girl; they LOVE you because you already have double chests FULL of the stuff, and they can get everything they need real fast and tidy just from you.

Is this based on texture or functionality? If it is based on texture I like new Deep Slate Diamond or just diamond. For functionality I choose redstone.

I like nether gold because it's easy to find it to barter with piglins, but when they see you mining it, they'll attack you, that's the bad part about minging nether gold.

I'm a fan of redstone, actually, just aesthetically. I like the way it lights up when you walk over it. It may not be the most valuable ore in the game, but I find it the most aesthetically pleasing.
