So, today I was wondering, what do I look for in a server, what do I look for in the banner, the name, the description...? I was wondering.. what do you guys look for in servers, banners, names, descriptions etc?

I look for ones that don't include the following words: PvP, Faction, Hardcore
And don't have names like: SuperCraft, Diamond/Iron/Gold Craft, ThunderCraft etc.

I like the banners with mismatching colors and text all over the place. It makes me feel at home when I join the server.
I also want to make sure there are annoying 8 year olds on the server, as that makes the servers experience all the better.
Oh yeah, and don't forget about the abusive admins/owner and the griefers. Gotta loves those!

A banner and description, etc. should be 1: not a simple factions server. there are WAY too many of them out there. 2: not too gaudy. make it simple, pleasant, and intriguing. 3: advertise mature admins. only if you have them of course, but that is the point.

What's your idea of peaceful?
Something with no pvp, factions and crap. Pretty much every server has it and it's like a kids thing now. No more peaceful servers. :C
