You MUST remove one block!free_breakfast
Here's the scenario:
Your friend is booting up a new Minecraft world, and they know you are going to be removing one block from their game, but they don't know which one.
Which block to you choose (and why), so that they would go as long as possible without finding out what it is.
Let's assume they can only make a guess once per three hours, so they can't just say random things.
They have to play on the world until they find out.
It must be a block that is obtainable or possible to find in survival.

I have 99% xp for level 2 lol
someone put an emerald on one of my things
Good job for staying relevant to the forum topic XD
here's some emeralds
here's some emeralds
Yes, this is the perfect place to post that.
ancient debris
just make them think they're just unlucky
just make them think they're just unlucky
That would be so cruel!
I like it.
I like it.
Smooth red sandstone.

Fletching table will work almost perfectly on a newer player. If it's an older one who knows your goal, they'll likely be going through useless or rare blocks with their guesses. If it's an older player, my safest bet is candles. As long as they aren't a builder their existence will just disappear from their heads.
Candles? I forgot those existed lol.
Exactly my point lol
I build and I forget they're a viable light source all the time
You could also just remove fireflies tho

Fireflies never got added into the game though.
Shhhh
lemme live my fantasy
lemme live my fantasy
Which color though?
My vote goes to green
My vote goes to green
Would have to be that or lime I think
I was gonna say fletching table too.
As long as they don't try to trade sticks for emeralds..

It would be snowy mycelium block. Snow layer on top would be the same, just the block description when aiming at it with F3 menu would say it is still mycelium in comparison to snowy mycelium.
Wait that exists
"The more you know" ;)
That is genius.
Thank You good sir. Took me a short while to think about it tho, snowy grass and snowy podzol are more common due to these blocks appearing with close proximity to snow layers, mycelium on the other hand would need to be transported to the places where snowy layer exists. Or just make a snowman on a mushroom island. But then again, extremely unlikely someone would do this AND check the block description with F3.
That's pretty good
Thank you! :)
Large Fern or Gilded Blackstone
Both nice picks! For the blackstone -- I think they'd notice if they ever went into a bastion.
deepslate emerald ore.
🧠
Remove powdered snow. That would go unnoticed for quite some time if even noticed at all as it is way too close to how the snow block itself.
And way too hard to find.
Deepslate coal ore
Nice.
Infested stone, even if he sees the empty space where the block should be, he will probably just think it's the world gneration
anonpmc3215418 was accidentally correct, the structure void, structure blocks, each command block, as well as barriers are obtainable in survival (around 23:00), without mods or commands
Huh - you're right!

Conduit
noice
GRAVEL¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
I feel like a cold ocean with a stone floor would put me off pretty fast, even before I find an ocean monument
But as soon as they found suspicious gravel in an ocean ruin they'd become aware. If they weren't searching tho, it might work for a while!
I would say infested chiseled stone brick blocks if the block needs to be naturally generated, that or lightly weathered waxed cut copper stairs seeing that they don't naturally spawn and they might not intentionally make them. also you could remove all instances of the weird instances of the nether water color, it is only made with a glitch.
Both of those are really good ideas!
End rods. You have to go to the end for them to find it, and no one really remembers they exist.
True! Though end cities might look a bit bland without them -- so your friend may or may not notice they're gone.
Conduit might work well. You remember they exist for a brief second when you find a heart of the sea, but then you put those away somewhere and forget about them. You only really remember you can craft it when you specifically need it for something.
Yeah. You'd have to play for many hours before even thinking of crafting one.
Oh, true! Though if your friend knew that a block was missing, they would surely check conduits eventually -- but who knows how long it would take them (especially considering how grindy it is to get nautilus shells)
Deepslate emerald ore, one of the rarest ores in Minecraft.
Deepslate coal ore, the hidden rarest block in the game
Best suggestion yet.
Though if your friend was pressured to make a random guess it might be this.
