Pixelmon Server...Maybe
Okay. I'm thinking of making a Pixelmon server. That being said I would like some help.
I've run a few servers and am pretty experienced. I can and have, for the most part, run servers completely by myself. Unfortunately that really drains me and I feel lessens the quality of the server. So I am seeing if anyone would like to help.
[After finishing this I decided to come back up here(I used a ladder for those curious) and decided to tell people what this server is actually going to be.]
I don't want just another server...
I want an experience.
I want you to feel like your are really doing something. Your achieving things. Your bonding with new friends, players and pocket monsters alike.
I think the best way I can do explain is for me to do a short, little story.
Ahem:
'Hmm, which pokémon do I want?', Anon asks himself, seeing the selection screen. "Eevee is cute, but Squirtle is my go-to guy.", Anon said aloud as he dragged his cursor over the water starter and clicked. "Woah!?", said Anon, a bit startled after seeing a white, lab coat, clad Prof. Oak. 'Guess that must be the CustomNPC's mod I downloaded. Cool.', Anon thought as he registered the connection. Anon then right clicked on Prof. Oak to see if anything would happen, figuring it worked liked villagers. It did! "Welcome to the amazing world of Pokémon, Anonymous12.", read the proceeding text. Anon also noticed the area he was in was quite familiar. "Haha, okay this is pretty awesome." He chuckled to himself, feeling a bit nostalgic. After looking around the room and noticing he had a few starting items Anon decided to check out the rest of the world. Only...there...was...NONE!
Not yet anyways, hence this topic. I need help guys. There are plans for quests; simple and fun, but also challenging and dangerous. There is going to be a lot a of familiar faces and places. Along with a whole bunch of new ones. Probably a whole new region or two! It's up to you how far we can expand.
Oh and also I plan on alloying access to most items. Like boss drops, ect. I also plan on keeping this up-to-date with Pixelmon. Probably same day update.[This is the end of what I climbed up to add].
Pixelmon...it's a pokémon mod for Minecraft. It's cool.
(Yes, I am aware the formatting of this is weird. However, I am tired...so yeah.)
The server will use two mods, which are based on my experiences on other pIxelmon servers. Pixelmon and Custom NPC's. I know installing two mods might be annoying, but it will be worth it.
Down to the meat of my topic:
I would very much like builders. I'm a descent builder, but it takes a lot of time. It also limits the creativity of structures. I really want detail. I think I have to make a list...
Also, these aren't exactly pre-requisites. I mean I want these things, but I can show you how to do these things if you want to help. I'm into game design so that's why I'm looking for these things.
Builders
1. I want whatever is built to give off a feeling of what that built thing is. That might be hard to understand so I'll give a few examples.
A pokécenter should feel like it's full of life. You know, welcoming and stuff. I'll post a pic of mine at the bottom, because I feel it does it well. At least what I have done.
A haunted area should impart, upon the unknowing traveler, a sense of danger...of of fear. They should know they aren't welcome or that something isn't right.
Hope that helps you to understand.
2. Detail -
Again, I want detail. I'm serious about that. I want you to put character into what you build. Again, an example is my Pokécenter. It plays the healing sound when you go up to the desk. It needs work, but to me, it needs to be there. It's simple, only 5 noteblocks, but everyone knows that iconic jingle. I want people to experience that.
3. Umm...diversity? I guess.
I know there are common designs for some things, but think outside the box. Meaning for a house, don't build a box. Not sure if that was joke, or not? Well whatever. This is self-explanatory.
4. Does it blend? (Yeah, that's a thing on YouTube about a blender)
I want things to make sense together and you know look like what they are supposed to. Again a pokécenter should look like one. People need to recognize what they are walking into. Which works with diversity. That being said, I still want creativity. I mean for my pokécenter(Yes, that again)I built it similar to a normal center. However I made the lounge different. Personally I think it's better. Just because It's designed well doesn't it mean it can't be designed better. That's why there are new Pokémon games afterall.
I think I got across what I wanted too. If your confused, feel free to ask me about it. I'm fully aware I don't always get my point across or suck at explaining something.
Staff
In all honesty I don't need that many. At least not yet. If somehow this blows up, then I'll need more help, naturally. But right now I plan on a small but active server. So yeah. I don't fell like making an application. I can tell who I want as an staff and of course I'll test whoever trysout. But to standout you should either make your own app. Their are plenty of templates out there. Or just tell/show me reasons I should consider you.
To be clear, pretty much anyone who would be a good staff member already knows what to say about themselves. You know what server owners look for.
Plugin/Mod Manager
Umm...yeah totally I guess. Didn't know that was really a thing but I guess apply for that too. Mods and stuff are my specialty, but I would appreciate a little help.
You should know Pixelmon and CustomNPC's, along with the usual plugins.
If you can create/modify(othere than config) then that would be awesome.
Players
well I guess beta-testers right now. If your interested in just playing, let me know. That is important as well.

I've been keeping my eye on this page, and it seems pretty interesting, I've had some experience with pixelmon servers. Also the boss drop thing would be amazing that makes the game 5x better. I'd like to help any way possible. Thanks

What position do you want and why: Staff - I would like to become a senior staff member on your server, because I just enjoy helping out new servers with hopes that they will become great. I also like experiencing different varieties of servers that give me more experience in that category. I love helping others out when they need help.
Howmuch time will you spend on the server? I can spend average 1 and a half hour on your server
What will you contribute to this server: I am an advanced builder in Minecraft, who has new creative ideas, and is an expert in redstone. I have the right judgement and experience in moderating when it comes to a problem, and I will spend at least one hour a day on the server.
Maturity(1-10): 8.5-10. I'm very mature when it comes to serious business such as hacking or potential hacking, but I have some laughs every now and then to brighten some moods.
Experience(w/ being staff): I have moderated 8 different servers that had different varieties in my past time with Minecraft (Hunger Games, PVP, Raid, Survival, etc.). I understand what is needed and know the requirements a staff member must fulfill. This is the first Pixelmon server i will moderate, I love new experiences!
Why should I pick you: I have a lot of experience in being a staff member for Minecraft. I also have a great judgement skills when it comes to a case, and usually will remain neutral towards the accused person; no matter who it is. I spend a lot of time playing Minecraft; most of which will be used on your server. I have mature, but not unfriendly personality when I talk to others about any topic. If I am ever put to a task, I always try my best to carry it out and achieve my goal. I always remember the server rules, and look around if anyone is breaking them.
