Mine was 1.12.2 mostly due to it adding a bunch of colorful blocks that were added though i havent played it in a good solid 2 months.

Well My favourite Minecraft version is either the latest version, or 1.20.1
I like both Minecraft Bedrock edition and Minecraft Java edition, they are both good in there own ways, but I think Java is my favourite version since I play on it more.

Minecraft Java 1.13 because of new commends, at first I hated them so much, but this was mostly because i didn't understand them then

1.12.2 will always be my favorite minecraft version not just because of the mods that came out (it was also the 3 release i played when i first joined minecraft)

Latest version in both Java and Bedrock, and final update for Legacy are always my favorite but, my MOST favorite version in Legacy was TU14. TU14 was a version I used to play with friends and my brother before my Xbox 360 got corrupted.

I love 1.16.5. To me, it felt like the "last" version of the Minecraft I grew up with since Java 1.3.2. The game felt complete for some reason: there were End cities, the Nether has new biomes, the Overworld villages and villagers have a new look (not to mention have an amazing economy), and there were already so many biomes to play in :D
Once Mojang/Microsoft added the new caves and world generation, the game felt like a new game, rather than a continuation of what I grew up with. It's not bad; I just don't think I've gotten used to it (the problem might be me). This is a personal opinion of course, so I'm okay with anyone who might disagree.
