Graphics card
Hi, so earlier I made a post about upgrading my graphics card. I think I am going to purchase a Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti. Although, I am not sure if it will bottleneck the cpu. I have an AMD A8-5600k cpu. Could someone please tell me if it would work?
I am only going with a 750 ti as I am not looking to do "hardcore" gaming just casual gaming like DiRT 3 which I can run already with my r7 200, Minecraft, Borderlands 2, counter strike and a few others. Thanks!

As said, the R9 270 is better than the 750ti, if you haven't already purchased it, you should get one of those.

Can this card run shaders well with high FPS on an old HP 2010 laptop? Exact models and makes can be provided if wanted/needed to respond.

Hello again, (I was the person from your other post lol).
The 750ti is often considered to be one of the best video cards for casual gaming, with its relatively low price point and its considerably good price/performance ratio.
Another perk for you is that it will run on your PSU (I think you said you had a 450w one, but correct me if I'm wrong), because most models of it do not require PCI-E power cables.
A good 750ti is around $110. (Pretend the USD sign is the symbol for pounds lol).
Personally I would recommend the Gigabyte Windforce edition, which unlike most other 750tis in its price range, has a dual-fan cooling solution, which will enable you to have better temperatures, and maybe even slightly overclock in the future. (Overclocking a gpu is as easy as dragging an icon on your desktop.)

However, if you're going to spend $110 on a gpu (Again, pretend the USD sign is the pound sign), you might want to consider an AMD Radeon R9 270, which is significantly better, but the only downside to it is TDP and heat output, having a 150W tdp and significantly higher temperatures. Luckily, though, the 270 will still be able to run on your current psu.

And to answer the question about the bottleneck, I would assume that no, neither of the two cards I listed will be bottlenecked. (If there is, it will only be a difference of 3-5fps tops, so you'll be fine.)
I would assume that there won't be any bottleneck at all, though, but the only way to know if there'll be a bottleneck is if you test it. But as I mentioned previously, the bottleneck will be insignificant.
Another thing that you might want to take into account about the 750ti I listed is that it is more susceptible to coil whine, which is quite common in Windforce cards. (My Windforce 970 has a slight whine to it.) However, many Windforce cards that have coil whine are the tri-fan cooling systems, so the 750ti is only 2/3 as susceptible to it, but it is something to take into account. Coil whine might seem okay as a thought, but once you get 3 hours of straight whine, it gets quite annoying. Coil whine will most likely never occur in your card at all, though. It's more common in higher-end cards that have to use higher-powered fans.
Anyway, there's my two-cents.

Dxtory performance highly depends on the codec used.
10 minutes of a little bit of dealing with a software like that to get an understanding of its settings is not something i would call difficult. I know it's nothing you can just start up and never look at again in order to work with it but still... no wizardry required.

Go for Dxtory, I've been using it for 2 years and I have not come across any kind of software that proved better than it. If you want to record anything - go for Dxtory. Shadowplay is not bad but it doesn't compare in the overall user friendliness.
DXTory is a lot less simple to use than ShadowPlay, and no matter how I configured it my recordings always ended up at like 10 FPS. I was using an i7 and a GTX 660. Plus, DXTory and pretty much every other recording program lacks pre-recording (Shadow mode), which is an extremely useful thing to have running.
OP, go for the 750 Ti if you're still on the fence. Everyone I know who has one has enjoyed it thoroughly and it can play a lot of modern games on medium-high settings.

I recommend the GTX 750 ti. I'm currently using it in my rig, it works like a champion.

Well, I use the 750 Ti, I had a really old AMD proccesor and it made minecraft run at around 100fps+
It's also great for things like recording since it has Shadowplay built in!

I think I will buy the 750 Ti. I took a look at your videos and I think I will be ok with what it can run. I also want to start playing payday 2 and gta v when it comes out.

Well, it drops around 1 frame since it's not using your cpu and its just using your GPU!
It's great for bad-ish CPU's
Also Payday is super easy to run with the 750 ti

Hahaha, I don't think they will delay it again I hope not. I think I'll try shadowplay and I'll try use dxtory I'll try see which is better.
