I think I'm putting this in the wrong forum, but I don't know what other forum to put this under, so here it goes.
Does anyone know any good sites to make skins on? I want to try and enter the Medieval Skin contest, but I can't find a site to make a skin. Does anyone know a site or software to make a skin on? Thanks.

MCSkin3D is the best choice out there, it's also quick and easy to download.

Instead of a site, try using this program:http://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/mcskin3d/

It's much easier to use than a general drawing program like GIMP or Paint.net

But it's Windows only, mac people (if they don't have bootcamp) have to use GIMP

No, minershoes has an armoury that has many forbidden pre-made parts most of which were taken from the original authors without prior written consent or permission

Use GIMP, it's free and awesome!

Staff will tell you not to use sites to make skins since many people use them to make skins that are stolen or part picked. As long as you don't part pick and it is VERY obviously original, you could use a site such as Skindex's skin editor or SkinCraft on Newgrounds if no other option is available for you. Otherwise, you can use any graphic program to make a skin. Paint.NET is easy to use and completely free and offers many of the same functions as Photoshop for simple graphics. Some people use GIMP, but I find Paint.NET is much simpler and easier to use for beginners.
