Mod Posting
I was looking through the mods today and saw a few mods that were posted by someone other than the creator of the mod. They gave credit to the creator of the mod, but they did not get permission to post the mod. Is that fair? I saw another mod that was posted by someone other than the creator, but they had permission. Do you support me with this?

As an additional not, nothing is allowed to be posted that was not the work of the poster, with the exception of work that is approved extensions (such as my texture pack, which is an extension of DokuRPG that doku gave blanket permission for changing). If someone has posted a mod with permission, that is not allowed as they are not the original creator.

Yep, when we see stolen content, we do delete. It's a simple 2 -3 click process but it's not easy to keep up with all sections of the site all the time. The flag option is there to help when we either overlook it, are busy elsewhere on the site, sleeping, playing minecraft, etc. When any of us are online, we can see the reports much like you see when someone has commented on your submissions. If you see something that is stolen, flag it and it is usually handled within 1-24 hours. Thanks.

Please click the flag/report button to file a report when you see things like this. They'll be handled as soon as a mod or myself goes through the reports. I just went through the reports handled 20 or so submissions, some were mods so maybe I got them.

If I were you I would just delte mods posted by people who didn't make them though. It would probably only take a few minutes unless it's complicated to delete a topic.

I totally do not think this is right. A modder has spent many hours making a mod, then someone just copying without permission... Sad :/ It'ld be fine if they HAD permission though

Yes, I completely agree, that is why I made this topic.

Yet there are still some mods posted by people who didn't create the mods.
