Ello everyone! Though it says I joined in January, today is my first time being an actual member on PMC. I've played MC for awhile now, and since I want to be a graphic designer when I'm older, I thought, ' Hey, why don't I start by making skins and uploading to PMC?' So.. yeah.
Yes, I'm a gamer girl. I play many games including MC, World of Warcraft, and some Xbox games. My hobbies are drawing and writing stories. I also love archery and riding my bike around my neighborhood. In my free time, I play PC/Video games, read books, or larp outside by my lonesome self. Hahaha. x3
I get asked this a lot, so I'll answer it now; YES I WATCH TOBUSCUS. x3
Speaking of Tobuscus, I watch lots of youtubers. This includes PewDiePie, JacksFilms, The Yogscast, Captain Sparklez, RoosterTeeth, JacksGap, SamPepper, Danisnotonfire, AmazingPhil, TylerOakley, Discasp, ShaneDawson, ExplodingTNT, and Smosh PLUS a mix of some random people. x3
Yes, I have plans for the future. I hope to go to college for 4 years at the University of Washington and earn a 4 year Bachelor Degree in Digital Gaming. I then hope to work down in California ( or at home ) for Blizzard Entertainment, a huge gaming company that makes the games StarCraft, Diablo, and World of Warcraft. If I didn't get the job, I'd either continue living in Washington State or move to England.
Some other things about me; My favorite color is red. I like it because well... I dunno really, it's just a cool color. I love cats, the outdoors, origami, food, and some things I can't think of at the moment. x3
So anyhow, I'm interested to know about any good sites to make skins (other than Skindex), and some few skin-making tips. I hope to get along with you guys and make some friends!

hai, if i were you i would check out paril's MCSkin3D if it's still up, should be, i havent checked it out in awhile haha, amazing skinning program :3
Welcome to Planet Minecraft! I've found that http://www.minershoes.com is a good website to edit skins. I was once in a Doctor Who role play because lol. We used dice and charactersheets and everything. I used to be in like five role plays on Rooster Teeth as well, mainly all Halo related haha. Anywho, welcome!

Nice to meet you! Since you'd like to start skinning you should begin with McSkin3D. It is easy to use and free, but you'll have to download it, of course. As for shading you should check out some tutorials in the blogs section. Like, this one: http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/a-s ... nfinished/

If you can get Gimp or Paint.net than those are good free programs for skinning. I use Photoshop, but that costs too much.

Skinning:
Novaskin is an okay site to make skins with, but remember you cannot upload the skins you make on there to here. Some tips: Shade good, the line-tone shading isn't the best, it looks like a gradient on a skin. I recommend circular shading, find a tutorial on it. Be original on your skins, dont copy/steal. You can build a bad reputation on here by doing so. To make skins I recommend just downloading Gimp. Its nice, other than that use Photoshop.
