    Welcome to SSPBL Classic

What is the difference between SSPBL and SSPBL Classic?

SSPBL has become known for the colour grid setup, in which you receive 16 colours of which you can choose 12 and make a skin from those 12. Bureine and I (DragonsDungeon) introduced this concept based on a prior palette challenge I had done back in season 1, and all of our amazing hosts have kept to this formula. Bureine, Noobator and I later decided that gimmicks would be a good idea to add to spice things up and this remains a defining feature of our standard SSPBL competitions, at a very highly refined manner courtesy of Zitzabis and Cranio.

But it was not always like this. The original iterations of PBL hosted by janidorr followed a more streamlined formula, in which you were given 12 and only 12 colours and had to make a skin using those. No grids, no gimmicks, just 12 colours.

SSPBL classic looks back at the roots of PBL and delivers on its original premise: 12 colours, no gimmicks but otherwise all the same features you know and love from our usual events. The polls, the 1v1s and the same underlying community!

To earn participation in the season you must make a skin for this jam!

What is the difference between SSPBL and SSPBL classic?
SSPBL weeks provide contestants with a colour grid and a gimmick defining which colours they may use.

SSPBL classic provides a set amount of colours each week of which you can use all of them. SSPBL classics does not have any weekly gimmicks.
    What is SSPBL?
Stream Server Palette Battle League is a weekly limited palette contest in which contestants make a skin using only the colours provided to them and battle another contestant to advance further into the competition until only one contestant is left standing, who will then be crowned the winner.

Stream server is a discord server from which many site-wide events are held. Examples include SSPBL, Skin jam, Skin remix room, 20-30 people collab skins and trending takeovers! You are welcome to join here: https:/discord.gg/YsWHSbU5hW
