Hey,
I've worked on a few servers in my day, and I've come across a few things along the way. I'll just outline a few for ya.
1. It's important to inform people of your age as soon as possible. I know that you might want to avoid posting it on a website as large as PMC, but it really does help assuage the worries of potential bosses/"employers"
2. Get skype. I'm not sure how old you are, but it really will help with contacting people privately and publicly. If you don't want/can't get skype, get TeamSpeak. Same reasons. (Most established servers have a dedicated TeamSpeak server.)
3. Avoid spelling mistakes where possible. Hey, it happens to everyone, but it really makes you look much more professional.
4. Convince people that you will be dedicated to the server. How much time each week can you dedicate to your project? When are you often online, e.t.c.
Good luck! As long as you stay dedicated, you can do whatever you want. Except for flying. Doesn't work that way. :3
