I didn't have time to look around yesterday and notice if anyone was a mod or not
I don't want to be one anyway, and I have no idea how invites work

I do know that f***ing with your own people is an absolutely stupid thing to do... f***ing with people in general is risky at best, bc not everyone is gonna take a 'joke' in the way it's intended. Pranking a lot of your own members? Yeah this place needs new leadership.

And the current leaders need to reach out to me and apologize, or all of my projects and my account are leaving.

For everyone, please feel free to review/use/draw inspiration from any or all parts of my Minecraft: Magic add-on, which was previously released and is thus ineligible for entry.

My goal has always been to create and share projects that benefit the community, and I wanted to publicly open Minecraft: Magic to all for use with this competition :).

The point is that, while texture and data packs in general work with "all" versions (don't get me started on what's incorrect about that statement), the same exact pack may not itself work with all versions.

For example, a data pack may have a function which contains a /replaceitem command—prior to 1.17, this should work nicely. But the data pack won't work properly in 1.17+, because that command is deprecated; a separate .zip with the updated 1.17+ version (attached to the same submission) would be quite useful indeed.

That's just one of many examples that go to the need for such a change.

Based on polling results and your feedback, I've created a ticket that requests the change be implemented!

The best way to be 100% sure about something like that is to open the .jar file for your version from .minecraft/versions using WinRAR or something similar. The /assets folder within contains the complete vanilla resource pack.

If what you seek isn't there, then it's safe to assume that it's something hardcoded rather than something modifiable with a resource pack.

I love that idea :). I think both color options could elicit that theme, but for me, the color you picked does this perfectly. I'm really looking forward to this biome!

One thing too (and this is just my opinion)...

One of my areas of expertise in life outside MC is color theory, and I think I've found a water color that suits the dimension a little better :p. I'm suggesting that you set the water color in the dimension to (R:68 G:21 B:189), which is #4415BD in hex, or 4462013 for .json purposes in biome files. I guess what I'm recommending is to try flying around the dimension for a minute with this water color and see if you like it.

If you don't like it, then forget I said anything lol. It looks cool even with the current color :)

Alrighty, I have some new pics!

I've taken packdotmcmeta's suggestion and reduced the flatness, bringing some life to the islands. I've also implemented the largest naturally-generating structure I've ever made - 192-block-tall Towers! These are filled with mobs and treasure, and have a very cool secret area. This is also along the lines of what Chimerabot suggested!

That's a tough one, depends on what you're going for. Silverfish and Bats are the first thing that comes to mind haha.

I made a dimension in another pack that this place reminds me of. If that dimension, I had a sea level over 0 so the entire bottom was one big cavernous lake (using water). I made undead mobs like Wither Skeletons spawn there, because they can still come after you underwater, and aren't affected by drowning.

You'll always hear that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but my opinion is that the biome looks fantastic. The right combination of blocks can create an overall color and texture that feels 'natural' to MC, and the screenshot totally makes me feel that.

I can almost hear the Basalt Deltas mood loop...

Hey, thanks for the feedback! If ~only~ Mojang would increase the maximum dimensions of the Structure Block to accept structures larger than 48x48x48, this would this more easily achievable. That being said, the islands likely will get much less flat as I add more surface features :)

Y'all might be right about seeing that kind of stuff get posted too frequently being inevitable....

But could we please stop featuring them on the popular reel?

I can't be the only one who has posted a project they've worked on for two weeks, only to see the popular reel littered with 5 varieties of "[​something] gives you OP loot!!1" and not see their project there at all.
