I can't recall the year, but I do recall the version. It was MC Beta 1.8, which was released on September 14th, 2011. So a bit under fourteen years, then.

Update: They responded to my ticket. They say it's fixed, but I tried again and it didn't work, so I dropped a comment saying it still wasn't working. Guess we'll see how that pans out.

Planetis, if you want to chat with fellow PMC users, might I suggest the Discord? Just a thought.

Out of these options? Aether, easily. Honestly, I've only played it and Skyblock, and a modpack with Create, and out of those 3, it's a pretty easy pick.

Of all mods I've played, however? That's hard to say.
From a utilitarian POV, I tend to like minimap mods, item dictionary mods (see Too Many Items or Not Enough Items), Akashic Tome, inventory sorters, backpack mods and gravestone/death chest mods. There's a particular gravestone mod that stands out, but I can't recall its name. I think it had things you can achieve by dying? I felt like that softened the blow of death, some. And my current favourite minimap mod is Xaero's Minimap.
I have a bit of a soft spot for Thaumcraft, Witchery (and its successor Bewitchment) and The Twilight Forest, when it comes to magic mods. I know there's more I like, but I can't pick them off the top of my head.
For tech mods, I'll always like Buildcraft and Galacticraft. Been a long time since I've played either, though.

When it comes to modpacks, I've currently been playing some of Cottage Witch on ATLauncher, and I've been enjoying it a lot. It has quite a few mods that I have passing knowledge of from Youtube series I like, including the aforementioned Create, which, personally, seems a bit frustrating for my tastes. It also has Ars Noveau, which has been fun to learn. I've also been enjoying experimenting with the cooking mods available.

Thanks for posting this, it was fun to ramble on! Have a good day!

I tried myself and after it didn't work, I posted a ticket (as I didn't find OP's when I went to check). So that's been done, now. It's currently a private ticket, so I guess I'll drop any updates here until it gets publicised, if it does get so.

Thank you for your response! I'll try to remember to do this next time I play Bedrock.
And yeah, I see what you mean about it being made for touch screens. I've played a bit on my Switch and now you mention it, the clunky buttons do seem like they'd work well for that. Even if they do look ugly as hell.

As a longtime Minecraft player who has recently got Bedrock edition as well, I'd have to go with Java.
I do like the cross-compatibility of Bedrock, and the character creator, but I don't like how heavily monetized everything is.
I also have many little gripes about the gameplay. Heads up, if you don't want to read complaining, I'd advise you don't read on.
One such issue I have is how you use the shield. You use the crouch button! It makes fighting so slow, and fighting drowned an absolute pain. Meanwhile, in Java, you can block their attacks without having to worry about drowning, since you don't share a button with crouch/sink.
And the menu. Good lord, I hate the menu. Or the lack of pausing. But back to the menu - Java has a hell lot more options & such. Some might find this annoying, but I find it pretty good. And you can't scale the UI, menu included, for Bedrock edition. I don't like how big it is. To be fair, I'm pretty sure the menu is built like it is because it has to be cross-compatible with the console versions, but it just looks so ugly.

I really hate the poison effect of Cave Spiders. Also, regular spiders can't fit in 1 block holes, which means you can bottlenose them more easily, without the need for slabs or a more complex mob farm. Your point about Cave Spider generation being more common is a good one, though.

Also, I realised after posting this that there's another reason I prefer regular Spider spawners: while it is more of a hassle to find them, it's harder to get swarmed by them when clearing their spawn area, since there's only one spawner.

    Welcome to PMC!
And I'm doing alright, how about you?
I've been learning Japanese recently, and it's going better this time than it has on my last attempts. So, I'm pretty pleased about that!
Haven't been as active here since I overdid my Japanese practice a bit over the last week (I wanted first place in the highest league on Duolingo. To be fair, I achieved it!) and I'm feeling a little burnt out as a result.

    That's really impressive.
I've been learning Japanese on a somewhat frequent basis for about 6 years (very hesitant guess, I suck at remembering years) and I haven't really reached out to other people who are learning or already know the language besides high school Japanese class. I probably should! I know a person or two who know Japanese.

That's cool! Have you been learning it continuously, or sporadically? I tend to take a more sporadic approach with learning languages (doing some practice for a while, then losing my groove and taking a break before returning later), but recently I've been doing alright at practicing continuously.
Also, my dad knows a few German words too! I think he learnt it in school, so he doesn't remember very much. I think he finds it funny to splice it into sentences otherwise spoken in English, and to be fair, it sort of is.
