For the style you're portraying, it's well balanced.

The colors are a bit saturated, however. I would have gone with something a little more flat and added shading to that to give it the contrast it needed.

Overall, for the style, it's very good for a first time!

Thanks EnderDurant! But that's somewhat unrelated to my initial question!

ChellizardSince this is an advice thread, and all artists [at least I think they do?] are always seeking advice.

I have a question for Sump! [ OR ANYONE that can answer. :3 ]

What's the best way to go about setting up an image with foreshortening? Be it in landscaping, or even a body pose?

the first thing is the horizon, since that anchors where all your lines are converging to. where you place it on the image decides how much space you have to work with above and below it. (or you could forshorten to a single point, too)
the other big thing is to decide on the angle you're viewing from. for instance, in this one from the interwebs if the "camera" were to be a bit lower, the lines would move out above and below the horizon, instead of all running down, diagonally. (they'd do that anyway if they had traced out windows on the building higher up, or something.)

lemme know if you'd like more detail ^^

Ah yes. Thank you. The stairs thing helped a heap load. ^_^

Oceanus can make whatever choice they want when making skins. Peace and Love doesn't meant they have to make a certain skin representing certain cultures or beliefs.

    A little thing called freedom.

Just going to lock this. Message the account directly if you're needed information from them - necroposting old topics is not necessarily a bad thing, but it keeps the forums cleaner if you don't.

TL;DR - Too long, didn't read. But I really did read most of it.

Also, what you mention is practically doing away with moderators #1 job.

Did you know that because of how many forum mods we have at this moment I rarely have any real work to do on PMC as it is?

So, tossing in self-moderation for the members would put even more forum mods out of volunteer work for PMC.

So, this idea, as thoughtful as it is, would be way too exploited by the jerks that pop up from time to time on PMC's forums.

NO names need to be pointed out, considering the consensus can be rounded up as general 'trolls' and even spam bots.

But, regardless, the idea is well-intended, but not going to work for PMC.

The forums already have issues with mini-modding, imagine if users could moderate their own forum threads and become a little dictator over whomever posts on their thread?

So, again, too much potential for trolling.

    Sorry.

Since this thread is TL;DR and I actually need to point out something that may or may not have been mentioned before:

There's this fancy shmancy little button called the "Edit" button.

There's also this fancy little thing called the report button.

This inadvertently allows users to moderate their own forum threads indirectly. If a user posts something spammy on your forum thread, report it. If you post something spammy and you don't want to be that spammy guy, edit your own post.

    It's simple, really.

So I vote -no- to users being eligible to moderate their own forum threads in the way that forum moderators+ actually moderate the forums.
