this depends on whether you're talking about bedrock or java edition. on bedrock, it'd be trivial - you'd just have to change its "sound" field in blocks.json (although, you'd have to use an existing sound type). on java edition, you'd have to mod the game.

if you're using java edition, that might be your issue with the vanilla sounds sticking around. sound events merge their information between resource packs on java edition, so if you want to completely replace vanilla, you need to add a boolean property "replace" and set it to true.

i think the rotation of heads, banners, and signs might have something to do with them being block entities, where flower pots are just regular blocks. idk tho

anyway, i'm just here to remind everyone that there hasn't been a single 1.21 snapshot yet. all the snapshots so far have been for minor 1.20 versions

huh. very odd. there might be something wrong with the proportions of the image somehow. is the resolution a multiple of 64x?

you can drop raw folders into bedrock. in fact, mcpack files are extracted into folders when you run them. but also this post is about skins i think so i'm not sure if that even matters

skins are stored in the same format between editions. you should be able to just import the skin in the "classic skins" section of the dressing room. or manually place the skin at the correct filepath if you know where that is.

this is probably one of the world's behavior packs. the abilty to /summon something is stored in its behavior file, and it's super easy to change

creative works like these, especially level design, just take a really long time to finish. even the smallest of maps are a massive undertaking.

let's say you're playing super mario maker. you're not a huge fan of the auto-tiler or the lack of decoration options, you find them massively restrictive, but you have to admit they're making the process a lot faster. despite this, even making a single level can take hours to days depending on complexity. now let's say you're playing minecraft. the game is 3D, has plenty of decoration options, and changing even two tiles at once requires modding or slow commands. chances are your map is going to be more the length of a short game rather than a single level, too.

that was a lot of completely unnecessary words for what i wanted to say, but basically, unless you're spending multiple weeks at a time procrastinating, you're probably doing better than you think you are

if your already installing java edition mods, your best bet might be to use a mod to get controller support on java edition. i've personally used MidnightControls in the past, if you're looking for a fabric mod.

the wiki's page on music has a section on filenames. bedrock edition still uses the old names, so you can just compare those. they're also just the official titles written in snake_case, so if you know those, you're basically set.

are you just replacing the vanilla music files? if so, you might be using the wrong filenames, since mojang changed half of them in 1.20.3 and didn't put it on the changelog. all the music by c418 now uses their official titles as their filenames instead of being 'generic' (for example, calm1 is now 'minecraft', calm2 is now 'clark', etc.)

that being said, i would personally make a sounds.json file so i could freely distribute the music across the game however i'd like*, instead of being limited by having to find new files to replace every time. sounds.json is one of those files that merges its information between resource packs, so you wouldn't need to include the whole thing.

*(of course, i also play bedrock edition, so my options for music distribution are significantly less limited by the biomes vanilla has decided should share music, but that doesn't mean this file is useless in java edition.)

i just realized this thread is about behavior packs and not just resource packs. yeah, that issue makes complete and total sense now. woopsie >w<

honestly, the design is pretty good. other than working on some pretty general pixel art skills like color count and hue-shifting, the only thing i can really think to say is maybe the saturation could be tweaked? but other than that i have no notes

the UV mapping? that's definitely very odd. no idea what could be causing that, sorry :(

what seems to be the issue? as far as i can tell, it's just a different texture in the same folder with no weird properties

well, java edition already has a green book texture in the form of the Knowledge Book item, so you could replace the regular book with that, and then you could just edit it for the other types of book

oooo that's gonna be a very long and complicated process. best i can tell you is to add a toggle to an existing menu that brings up a custom panel. this would emulate adding a new menu pretty well and i'm pretty sure it's how a lot of other resource packs do it.

i haven't personally worked out how to do that myself but it's probably not too difficult. nearly every tab in vanilla does this already, i'm pretty sure.
