"how difficult it is to mod" sometimes i wonder what life would be like if minecraft modders weren't so reliant on official support. then i remember i already had that back in mid-alpha.
"seemingly arbitrary limits on commands or syntax" could you, like, elaborate?
"forcing you to update your game to play much of anything online" pretty sure the game just requires you to be running the same version as the server you're trying to join, which is beyond reasonable. sometimes, you don't even have to be on the same hotfix.
"the animation when you open chat or a container" you know you can turn it off, right?
"I can't make superflat worlds anymore?" literally the first toggle on the advanced tab.
"the advantages that PC players have over everyone else" well, that's just kinda inherent to the concept of crossplay. except not really because most platforms do let you use a keyboard and mouse if you really want to do that.
"I've heard about Bedrock's mirage-like rendering glitches and random damage killing you" i have also heard of these. and have yet to experience them in the decade i've been playing.
"they removed achievement rewards" citation needed?????
"the marketplace doesn't even load on the switch" firstly, i thought you (rightfully) hated the marketplace? secondly, i can confirm that this is both false and also not true.
"on java, mods and skins and servers are free" if you're looking for free stuff for bedrock edition, might i suggest
this website? ( <- link )
"you have to do DNS editing or whatever if you want to play anything except for the same few minigame servers on consoles" firstly, mojang unfortunately does not have the power to make console manufacturers more lenient. secondly, this is two paragraphs after praising legacy console edition's minigames, which were significantly fewer in number.
"extremely difficult (and even discouraged, last I heard) to downgrade" so, did you, like, forget you were just praising legacy console edition just a few sentences ago?
