As a shipbuilder myself, slabs are absolutely better, you could also try walls, stairs, and fence gates.

CooperTheBurgerKing1 I think with slabs looks better

It's interesting from 1 year ago, I actually finished 46 projects I was building (can't fit the entire list in one pic). Still missing 6, though Boxer is near completion.

I can understand it with large things like ships, as in to prevent yourself from biting off more than you can chew, but the Kraz 225 and the RM 70 Vampire are relatively small. So, maybe you could build those :P

I’ve made a lot of projects, naval, aerial, and ground. I’m currently working on a German fleet. But I sometimes struggle with motivation to build them, when that happens I just remind myself how cool it’s going to look, but that’s something I do. And may not work.

DreamWanderer Are you doing these all at once? XD I only ever do one at a time, and even sometimes get exhausted from that lol
CraftyFoxe • 2025-07-16 19:49:37

Yea all at once! I decided to sideline 13 of these builds as non-priority. All of them are in all sorts of stages of development, a lot are almost done, just need finishing touches, while others are middle or just started.

It is really crazy how many key vehicles the US military has as well, lets say the black hawk, there's a seahawk, pavehawk, jayhawk variants. I end up in this situation a lot making other variants since I might as well

DreamWanderer • 2025-07-16 19:09:46

I have an addiction to making Minecraft Military vehicles. I can spend hours and hours on it. I wish I could stop, but its just too much fun.

I literally said to myself not to start any new projects in the previous wall post but since then I started a few more. The problem with military vehicles is that there is an endless amount of them to make, even if you just include the well known ones.

Now wishing I hadn't dumped my project of creating the Lockheed CL-1201. However, the build was so crazy large that it became near impossible to clearly see what I was working on. that and it was a block-by-block build so, without use of WorldEdit I suspect it would have taken hundreds of hours to complete.

Still maybe now is the time to reopen that world and take a new look at it.

Today I learned how to import minecraft builds into Blender:

- need jMC2Obj and import with MCPrep plugin and then hit "prep materials"

- have to import chassis, turret, gun all separately, then parent with p
Still need to figure out how to set the gun axis to align with the turret and add in lights
