Hey everyone! Happy to introduce a new addon pack that will be coming soon, the Default HD Nature Addon. This will be an extensive addon pack that will add more nature features to the pack. This will come in 3 versions for the 128x, 256x, and 512x versions of the pack, 128x being released first. New Update Confirmation & Delays


Hey all. Spring time is flourishing, and so are preparations for the next server updates!

The development team has been working hard on a major technical update to the server's framework, which is the migration from Paper to Sponge. What that means is that the development workflow is going to be faster after this update, as Sponge works much closer to Vanilla Minecraft than Paper does. Thanks to this migration, we're benefiting from a deeper customization of game mechanics and a general avoidance of sketchy coding work-arounds. If you'd like to learn more about the technical aspect, @cotander will be happy to tell you more.

That being said, we decided to release a server version 3.1.2 before the Great 3.2 titled Moria Update.

The 3.1.2 release is going to feature the new recoded server. It will serve as an intermediate update between the Eriador update and the Moria Update, as we are planning on using this occasion to find the potential bugs that might arise because of the migration.

Moria Update

We need to delay the release of Moria, both because we need to ensure that the server works correctly on Sponge in time for the massive event we are planning, and because summertime in general is a better gaming period than April/May (historically, it has always been better that way). But do not be sad, for we've prepared a little sneak peek for you in the form of a little TIMELAPSE!

This is a decent sized update with 21 total new textures along with some adjustments and tweaks.

Hey guys! Happy to let you all know the latest version of Cosmic Skys is out now! This update has a lot of bug fixes and tweaks, thanks to the work of UsernameGeri! If you're using an old version of the pack I highly suggest you update to this one for the best experience!

Changelog:
- Supports all OptiFine versions (mcpathcer)
- Full pairity between OptiFine and FabricSkyboxes
- Updated Moon texture to make the dark side of it slightly visible
- Sunrise will now have the appropriate texture
- Weather now has a skybox (Rather than being blank)

Hey everyone! The latest update (Beta 2.4a) that's Early Access for Emerald, Lapis, and Netherite is out now! This is honestly a massive update. Huge overhaul of a ton of things, tweaks to others, new skies, and more! Once again, thank you so much to UsernameGeri for such an amazing set of tweaks, updates, etc. They are an amazing asset to this community and I am forever grateful to them!

Let's get into the changelog:

- Complete overhaul of config files, fixing all bugs and inconsistencies

- Full feature pairity between OptiFine and FabricSkyboxes

- Fixed all of the stretched and wonky textures

- Updated Moon texture to make the dark side of it slightly visible

- Sunrises will now have the appropriate skyboxes

- Added sunflare to sunsets and sunrises

- Sunsets and sunrises in the textures will now properly line up with the in-game sun

- Stars will no longer be visible below the horizon line

- Stars will no longer be visible through the high altitude clouds

- Stars will no longer be visible through the Moon

- Stars will now be visible at max build height

- Color correction to high altitude night time sky, to make it appear more night-time-ish


As you can see, a ton, and I mean A TON of fixes. Anything from small seams, odd texture stretches, to texture axis positions. Sunrises and sunsets now have proper positioning for where the sun will be when it rises and sets, tweaks to the stars to be more realistic, etc. Not to mention a complete config and directory overhaul.

If you would like to get early access to Dramatic Skys and any future packs be sure to consider becoming an Emerald tier or above! The normal beta will be out for Gold and above in a few days as well.
