    I spend far too much time fantasizing about all the different timelines I could’ve ended up in that surely would be better than this one. I get so caught up in the what-ifs.

    What if I wasn’t pulled out of public school. What if I lived in a big city. What if I was born 10 years earlier. What if I lived in a different country.

    But I’ve realized, while I would love to experience those realities, and they seem so much better than my current one, none of them would have created the me of today.

    And that’s the only thing I don’t like about those other realities, is I’m not in them. They’d be some other, alternate versions of myself. And I like me. I would never change the past, or adjust the parameters that started my life, because I would lose the only constant in my life. Me.

    The idea of “half” requires there to be a specific form that’s considered “whole”. A hole doesn’t need to be any specific size or shape, so any hole is whole. If a whole hole is halved, it’s still a fully functional hole, so it’s still a whole hole.

    Honestly, I can see what they mean. Some of the posts were a lot less “hey ____ is struggling, go show them some support” and more forceful like “IMPORTANT DON’T SCROLL PAST ___ is really struggling and might hurt themselves, share this post, etc”. It can kinda be counterintuitive where it’s negatively impacting everybody else’s mood.

    (not saying the posts exactly said this, that’s just the general gist I see in posts like this on PMC)

    Anyways guys remember the mod team has been doing this for years (PMC is over a decade old) and have a more bird’s eye view on things. And they’re literally older than most of PMC lol.

    hey-hey all,

    regarding some recently-deleted posts, please be mindful that the staff team is all for showing love and support for others. we want you guys to be there for one another, and recognize the value in having a community you can fall back on for reassurance through highs, but especially through lows.

    but, we also need to be mindful of how we communicate our support for others. it's easy to fall into some bad habits that can, maybe counterintuitively, hurt more than they help. that's not to say that the term "suicide" is forbidden. i know it's a touchy subject, and the word itself kind of sticks to the roof of your mouth, but september is suicide prevention awareness month and it's good to be up front, and to use the proper term for this particular type of crisis scenario.

    the problem (if you can call it that, but i don't think of it as a "problem" so much as a "misunderstanding") isn't that you guys are trying to help, or that your vocabulary is crass or offensive. please know that. i love that you guys help each other through rough patches.

    our team is just worried for the possibility that users may feel pressure to act as crisis councilors, as opposed to as friends or those who would like to show support. this kind of pressure can have a negative effect on other peoples' mental health, especially in those individuals who do not have professional training in crisis counseling.

    if you feel a fellow PMC user is in genuine crisis, that is, you believe they're in danger of harming themselves and/or others, please contact our team before you contact anyone else. report the comment/wallpost/forums post, or else make a private ticket and/or send a private message to our team. we regularly connect people with resources for help.

    I could… but at that point I might as well play modded, since I much prefer that. I want to play with other players, I just always end up building a house then just wandering around. Probably more me just being bored of Minecraft. Maybe in a few months I’ll be more interested in it and join a server.

    guys did you know about this super cool organ in your head? it's like an ai, it makes thoughts and thinks about things and even comes up with ideas! so it's called a brain, and everyone has one, and the cool thing is just like an ai you can teach it to think and do things better by training it! :O

    so i think this whole brain thing is a really exciting development, think of all the problems this could solve, we could teach a brain to do complicated surgeries, teach a brain to cook, teach a brain to solve maths problems, and even teach it how to make beautiful paintings! :33
