Syrup would be a cool idea that could be used for a bunch of different recipes. You could either get it directly by cutting down a tree, clicking on a tree with a bottle, or you could get sap (which could be used for something else) from a tree, and then you smelt it into syrup. The syrup could be part of a waffle or pancake recipe (made with syrup, wheat, milk, and egg?), oatmeal (syrup, wheat, milk, and bowl?), or it could be eaten by itself for like half a heart.
I'm so sorry, I misunderstood and thought you just wanted to change the texture and not the shape. From my understanding, the way minecraft armor is coded makes it very hard to change anything other than texture, and to change the shape you need to use another program like mcreator and turn it into a mod
Yep! It'll replace the helmet you'd originally be wearing with your new helmet. It won't change the icon of it in your inventory though, that's a slightly different process, but also really easy to do.
Cool. So first you'll go to your .minecraft folder and create a new folder in your resourcepacks folder. You can title it whatever you want. In that folder you'll make a text document using notepad and type this in it { "pack": { "pack_format": 7, "description": "YOUR PACK NAME" } }
At the top of the folder window, under the View tab you need to make sure File Name Extensions is checked, and then name your text document pack.mcmeta. After that, make a folder called assets, in that folder make another folder called minecraft, in that folder make another called textures, in that folder make another called models, in that folder make another called armor, and that's where you'll put your layer for your helmet. It needs to be titled netherite_layer_1 and it needs to be a .png file. That should be it! Let me know if it works or if you have any other questions!
How about a space themed one? Each section could be a different planet, maybe with different effects on each one. For the way to progress to the next level, a couple ideas are fighting the boss alien, parkouring around the planet to exit the atmosphere, finding parts to build a spaceship, etc.
