It's because you are using a program that does NOT support transparency. Use a program like McSkin3D or GIMP, which support transparency in images.

Well it's because you have to post submissions on PMC then have OTHER people comment favorite and subscribe for you to gain experience. This does not mean you should beg for diamonds or anything. If people like something they will diamond and subscribe and stuff. I hope this helped.

You are correct in that matter. You only gain EXP from submissions (Skins, Texturepacks, Mods, Ect.) Though posting them will give you a little bit of EXP, You need people to diamond, view, and download your submission to get more EXP.
Please note that this does not mean you should beg for diamonds as that is against the rules. If people really like your submission or if it is really high quality and amazing, you will level up in no time.

So really, just post good quality content, and eventually, you will become popular like some of the level 70 members out there. (I have not yet reached it.)

Do you have permission from all the texturepack creators to edit their work and re-post it? That would be the first place to ask.

Well one of the uploading rules on PMC is "No copies from the minecraft.jar" or something like that. So Mojang may not care but I think PMC does. (Unless this has changed since I last checked)

I would recommend windows 7 because windows 8 just recently came out (tons of bugs :/) Plus it's touch screen which might cause problems.

You might have uploaded something against the rules and your illegal submissions were removed causing you to lose all your exp. for example, if you uploaded a stolen skin, it would get removed and you would lose any exp you gained from it. a way to prevent this is always upload original content.

Note: Hey Forum/Site mods, I am not trying to mini-mod I am just trying to help.

No There is no way to take back a vote. What I suggest is that you make sure you are logged out whenever you get off the computer if you share it with someone else. If it is your personal computer which nobody else uses, you can keep yourself logged in.

Any staff from PMC will never ask for OP on your server, and will never threaten to shut it down. I am not sure why people have been doing this. If you do not believe me, a staff member might reply confirming what I have said. Unless there is a serious hacker, your server should be just fine

You can get featured on the "Popular Reel" by making amazing content that people really like. I think the system is judged on how many views, diamonds, and favorites a submission has. It's a very challenging thing to do.

As for the software, I have no idea.

When you download the texturepack are you putting the zip folder in the texturepacks folder in the .minecraft folder?

First tip: Don't use Skincraft. If you do, don't upload it because it is illegal because you did not create the parts unless you just colored the whole thing using pencil.
Second, the name might be invalid if you used symbols, or typed the name wrong when uploading.

The Issue is, the actual mod is not 1.3.2. It's still 1.2.5. The things that say it's 1.3.2, Are wrong.

That's a nice Idea! So it would be like a maze of tunnels and at the end of each there is a puzzle to solve and that leads to the next tunnel. I will probably use this.
