in two days we've gotten close to finishing the outline ^^

i just have to finish my chapter summaries and were going to try to write 1k words tomorrow!

I also wrote the first few paragraphs and here's a snippet of the first two lines: Every night I dreamt of her, her blue shivering lips and the way she called me Thi-Thi at the end. Every night, though I tried so hard to save her, she died in my arms the same way she had as a mere child.

Ok soooo ik some of you have been wanting a bit more about my romance book....

and so heres what I did with it!

my friend maiya and i were watching bridgerton and cause I was interested in the timeline I did some research and found Queen Charlotte's (non-fictional character) birthday debutante ball (which has been a tradition since 1780!)... and with some planning I thought... huh what if my romance book took place on the fith annual debutante ball (1785) and what if Queen Charlotte handpicked the most suitable ladies and gentlemen, from the mix, to attend a prestigious academy (name is still in progress) for ediquite, and also those who are hoping to find a match.

our main character Thea Harris, who mostly detests society, is forced into the royal world when her family goes bankrupt (Basically she has to find a rich husband, and fast). With her easy charm she easily finds a duke willing to take her hand but something or someone is holding her back... it seems a love match is in order and with who? Maybe the obnoxious Prince Edward who is constantly getting on her nerves.

Trope: Enemies to lovers & Forced Proximmity (they both catch a disease forcing them to quarantine together (most likely scarlet fever we just need to check the timeline))

So here is a paragraph in Thea's perspective: He remembered the claddagh ring I gave the queen, and apparently the speech that went with it. And now he was offering it to me, offering his heart to me. I felt a surge of pure emotions, sad or happy I couldn’t tell. I traced the set of golden hands embracing the ruby-pearl centre as I journeyed through every time line, every relationship we could have together. And then I looked in his eyes and told the love of my life I wouldn’t marry him.

Here's a paragraph in Ace's perspective: She lay in my arms, still and fast asleep. As my eyes traced the curves of her body I realised that I loved her. I loved her with my complete heart, pure and strong. But fear took over my body. She was going to die and there was nothing I could do to help her. The nurses were asleep for the night and any cries for help would not escape the barriers of the soundproof walls. Could I step outside? No, I could endanger so many with a mere breath outside of this room, the disease was too infectious. And it was spreading. I squeezed my eyes shut, think Ace, think. I’d helped at the infirmary when I was young, I didn’t know much but maybe I knew enough. Afterall, she just needed to get through the night…

sooo im writting a straight romance novel for fun atm and I have a few plot lines

before we get into that, the book takes place in a bording school for rich ppl the love interest is literal royalty and the main character is the scholarship girl.

1. enemies to lovers - both are academic rivals in their classes but when certain... events bring them closer will they become more than enemies
2. bet - soemone bets the guy cant make the girl fall in love with him, but as they go on, he act falls in love with her but she finds out!
3. enemies to lovers - but eventually she finds out something (im not quite sure what yet) about him and what he has done to her family and they grow apart (so enemies to lovers to enemies again... what will they end up as?)

second idea: boarding school, she's a princess hes a prince, rival kingdoms.

1. enemies to lovers - hate eachother but a type of forced proximity brings them together
2. fake relationship - she has to fake like him to learn about his family but she falls in love with him for real... will he find out??
