Yo! Saara_ and I decided it'd be a good time to advertise the staff applications.

The staff are mainly needed for our Hallows Eve-ent Discord server.

There are two types of staff that we need; Moderator and Helper.
More is explained in the form!

Please only fill out one application in total, thank you!

We'll need approx 3 - 5 helpers as of now, and 4 - 6 moderators as of now; this may change in the near future!

Neither of these forms collect any personal information, so don't worry!

Edit: The Hallows Eve-ent Discord server will not be shared with anyone at the moment unless they're accepted as staff. We'll send out invites to the server a few days after event sign-ups open.

You'll learn more about the event itself if questions are asked via DMs/PMs to either of us hosts.

It’s funny how my HD skins have less success than their original versions. Maybe these are not worth spending hours on, after all. Although I’m making skins first and foremost because I’m enjoying it, I can’t help thinking about the community feedback.

Unfortunately, skins are something where quantity vs quality shows VERY strongly. I noticed this years ago when I was more active here. Skins with flat shading would blow up with diamonds and my detailed ones were left with medium diamonds. Here, what matters is your amount of active subscribers and that'll be the majority of your diamonds. People who spam out 2+ skins a day will have lots of subscribers. All I can say, is ignore them, be happy for them, and share what you love to do! You'll have a smaller group of people who truly love your work.

Yeah, you're right. Actually, as I've explained to Purrfectionist, I'm not looking for popularity, I simply do what I like to do. However, it's still surprising to notice that something I spend way more time on is less rewarding than 'simple' skins, easier to make, and some of which not even deserving their success.

Actually, I'm not really looking for popularity or recognition. This would matter if I was looking for customers, but I'm only a hobbyist artist, and as you said, I am not looking to make money out of it. Also, I don't really think people on DA or Pixiv would be interested in 'minecraft' stuff, to be honest, and it may not be worth sharing my PMC work there.
Concerning custom models, I'm gonna pass, since I have literally zero experience in 3D modelling, and mob skins are definitely not my cup of tea.

After all, it's just numbers, you should be happy by doing something you enjoy..And if thats make you happy, redoing yours skins, keep it up! Likes or dislikes, thats doesn't matter.

Heyoo PMC!

I want to announce that Saara_ and I are hosting a Minecraft Skin event!

The event is 'Spooky-season' themed.

Event sign-up dates are September 21st to September 30th, 2020!
This gives you a week to decide whether or not you want to sign up!
(Please don't ask to sign-up before Sep 21st, 2020. Thank you)!

For the next week I'll be making posts similar to this, so keep your eyes peeled!
We're both working on a Discord server. We will be needing more staff + moderators for this event. Currently, we are not taking applications. Later on in the week, though, we will be.

I feel this too! It takes me at minimum 6+ hours to make an HD skin! Now, when I go to make normal resolution skins, I find my style just looks weird, and I can't put in any details. One good thing I've noticed since making HD skins, is that I'm way faster at normal resolution skins now!
