    I've reached a compromise on updating my old builds. I want to update my old builds, you all say to make a new post, and save the old.

    So I split the difference, and am updating all my old builds, and providing the old version with the new download
    (New on left, Old on right)

    If I take a old build of mine, redo all of the details with all new blocks and techniques, and change most of the blocks and shapes, and then update it on PMC
    Is it still the same build? Or should it be an all new post? 🤔

    My suggestion remains the same: create a new post and label it "Remake." Then, in the body of the post, include a link explaining the situation and a link to the old version.

    That's how I do it, to label buildings with the same subject but different scales, and "substructures" in large projects. This prevents confusion.

    Okay so I suggest sharing both versions, but here is why - some designed even when we think they are better are not the design that others like. They like old versions. And thus, fully recreating an idea means leaving off what was once accepted. That and hey you can watch the results do more people download the old or the new design and that will tell you the real answer.

    BUT in the end, you do what you think is best, because sure we the community who love your work are vocal in our own thoughts, we are not you, so in the end it is you who must decide.

    Either way I'll keep coming back for inspiration and ideas.

    Ah yeh. It will be the same exact IRL vehicle its based on, but mostly changed. I lean towards new post, unless its a easy update with out much change

    Revisiting a large build I posted 6 years ago, and never fully finished.
    Starting it all over from scratch again.... I wonder if I can finish it this time. Despite my much larger scale I build in since then, and the vast amount of details I can add compared to the old one.

    Hope my collection making isn't too spammy XD I am halfway done reorganizing my builds on here now. I been trying to do one type of build a day so as not to flood your screen.

    I hope it makes my builds easier to find... Or is it harder now... Idk?? lol

    Anyways. My collections should match my vehicle world exactly now

    If I ever am able to start my own business with trucks and heavy equipment. I almost had a thought of making IRL YouTube videos of it. Tho I guess I would have to have an business that is interesting enough to do that XD

    Tho that is really putting the cart before the horse lol.

    Thinking sometime of reorganizing all my collections on here, to match all the categories of my builds world, so they are as easy to find here, and easy to know where to place if anyone happens to follow along with my builds world lol

    Tho I feel like all that is going to take as much time as building the world itself XD

    Its so cute my cat has learned that me grabbing my keys means its time for me to go to work, she immediately gets up and follows me through the house looking for me to pet her all the way.
    I tried grabbing them once a few minutes before I left, and she immediately ran to met me at the door

    Me an my "I never met anything I couldn't build" attitude really making me do some challenging things XD

    As a bit of a teaser. I am currently working on building a large Spanish Galleon =o.

    I am not much a ship builder to start with, but I have never done this type of ship before, so the hull design is so foreign to me, and quite hard to master for me >.< That and I have chosen to build it on such a large scale like I do lol

    Working on building a ship. Tho admittedly trying to build the hull is really challenging me. I can picture what it supposed to look like in MC, and the curves needed to make it, but somehow just can't seem to make it happen >.<
