Generative ai is being used by genocidal propagandaists because it is both cheap (free) and produces quickly. Ai art has a certain aesthetic that fits in with the fascist aesthetic. I have seen countless ai generated posters promoting the genocide of 🇵🇸 people.

The Third Reich had a certain aesthetic yet they were unimaginative in that aesthetic, they did not produce quality art, but rather, mass produced and cheap propaganda.

Generative AI lends itself to propaganda, and I'm not surprised it's coming to a head just as fascism in the US is on the rise.

It may seem that AI generative art is a new frontier, but in reality, in practice , it is already walking along a well-worn path. The technology is different, but we have been here, we have seen this before (and not too, too long ago--- just ask your great grandparents from Eastern Europe).
