Finished a full new world 💐 overhauling, improving, and adding tons of assets and fixing a lot of spawner or structure issues

NightCafe is a really good place to mess with AI generation if you plan to do more, they even partnered will Dall-E 2. you get free credits to spend when you log on, 5 per day. you also get free credits just by sharing your AI art, commenting, liking others art etc. basically you can pay them for credits but you can easily get a ton for free if you work at it. Also you get profile badges for the achievements you complete.

Anyway the reason I like it is it has like 4 different AI generators, some take reference images like stable, whereas others like dall-e 2 don't. you can choose the image shape, do negative prompts with positive ones such as "no extra limbs" to fine tune things. there's different styles you can do or you can just try and get your own. dall-e doesn't give you as many images for credits as other generators on NightCafe. So if you want the most for your credits you might want to be more selective.

realizing how many copy-cats start appearing... copying titles-, descriptions-, map styles, and even Patreon tier-ing etc..or using my assets for their commercial copies >.>
- on one hand, i like seeing new inspiration and always like being encouraging others..
  like Zhyrr, Aqualesspantsu, Leonex, Nordmachine, Barbarian, and many more, which have such a unique styles, approaches and worlds.. and i admire all of their projects
- on the other hand, its like really disheartening seeing this non-creativity and just basically coping my progress/work
- Fun fact; my worlds aren't the best, and my approaches aren't the best, i know what works "better" but i found my style/approach/identity
  hence why its so frustrating to see, people thinking: McMeddon does everything right, i need to do it *exactly* the same
- It's kind the MrBeast- phenomenon, where just everyone is copying one (successful) person's identity and approach, resulting
not sure how i should handle this development

should i ignore it, as they die of anyway?
should i call them out?
should i change up my approaches?

Its really on you, you can call them out but some then may continue to do it out of spite. You can leave them but they might never leave.

the last option is a big I am not sure, I feel your style is unique compared to some others and thus it will be hard to deal with such changes.

My best bet is the first 2 options as the third might do more harm to your current style then help.

Although this is just me taking a complete shot in the dark.

My response to such things were simply keeping people from using the content I create, you could try that? Or just hope the phase ends and they lose interest in what you actually enjoy doing, there will always be copycats unfortunately, but people tend to know whos work is who's.

3 days later after my parts arrived, everything is working smoothly and the world factory is running again

Backstory; mid-January, during mapmaking, I updated some bios settings and basically bricked my mainboard, and also simultaneously bricked windows too, following that it took 1 week to pin down the issue(s), and another week to get the replacement parts.

I was able to rescue all crucial files & folders. I also had backup crucial files alr online which helped immensely. And so for the past days i have setup even stronger backup strategies, to secure and protect projects for the future.

For 2023 I also plan to make the downloads also more redundant to not only rely on Provider, as its currently the status.

finally.. all my parts came today including adapters and drives
were now able to test my workstation ssd to see if the drive was broken, and can deny that,
all files are intact 🥳 only windows that is ded beyond the limits

now backuping crucial files, and then trying to reinstall windows on the workstation ssd *fingers crossed*
after that the fun of rebuilding that station for the 100th time beginns..

Quick Status update;

apologies for the delay in map releases and development;
About 2 weeks ago, i broke my pc/mainboard/cpu and have been trying to find solutions/fixes and alternatives in the meantime
Replacement parts are now on the way

As a result of this incident i developed new techniques to secure the data, learned how to setup cloud machines and will have more tools to deal with future issues

It's ok! The reason why I haven't been active these days is because I've officially lost interest on PMC and textures. I'll still try to find inconsistencies in the game tho.
