    Hi!

The inside was sadly lost due to drive failure and sloppy backup

I can link an imgur album of what it looked like under construction though.

It does! The frame will be re-used for future variants of the ship. One of them will have a more serious weapon loadout. This one is more of an all-purpose variant and will serve as a base for modifications.

Not right now, but it will have interior.
This is the interior of the old version:

Much of the screenshots were very early WIP besides the hangar which was basically finished.

I do. Involving a timeline, a map and themes - some builds are from an earlier age than others. Also factions. Was planning on sending them all into space this year but that's not gonna happen.

Eossky, I feel that building by hand is better then using world edit but I do use some world edit to finish a build

Better? Why? Worldedit saves time, that's all.

Right hand. Left arm is effectively useless after an accident.

I'm playing minecraft because it offered an easy and fun way to (sometimes together with others) express creativity. I wasn't good enough at drawing to be able to do that and didn't have any skills or software to create 3D models. Minecraft was easy to get into and with enough time and dedication, it gave me a way to create almost anything I wanted.

Sadly, it has become a terrible chore to build. There is only so much you can do to speed up the creation of something in minecraft. Sure, mods and plugins and experience help a lot but you're still gonna be placing blocks by hand if you want your creation to look somewhat decent. I spent 6 MONTHS worth of free time on my latest project... was ist worth it? Absolutely not. While I really really wanted to start, finish and share it, it was more about finally getting it done than to get the idea of it out of my head in a creative way.

Now I'm here, 1581 days after creating a PMC account and getting into creative building, slowly getting bored and asking myself how much other things I could've done in that time. While other people advanced their artistic skills and will now go and study in those fields, I'm a laughingstock who can't even call himself a voxel artist without getting called out on it, because I am not.

It was obvious we needed more guns. A lot of more guns. Not just at some places but all over the ship. That's why i decided to cut the ship apart, raise the upper section.

    The outcome? Well... BEHOLD!

Pretty sure none of the NPC-villagers are gonna riot about this but aren't some of the enclosures a bit too small for the animals inside? :L

    Current look.
More detailing to make the ship more interesting and give it back some of the style lost in along the way.

    Also, interior work!

This is gonna be the cantina. It's gonna be connected to the crew quarters and the medical bay (more pics of that soon) and is placed right underneath the bridge.

It's awesome at first, like getting something for christmas. You're all over how better things are compared to before. More and stable framerates, less stutterting, faster rendering, shorter loading times (if at all), boot to your desktop within a couple of seconds, near silent operation, bla bla bla...
In the end, while you know it's great and probably worth the money spent, you just get used to it. It doesnt make it a bad thing... it's just not as special anymore.

To clear some apparently existing confusion here : shortcuts work by the way of having a target file that they lead to when being clicked. you can even see where the shortcut leads to by right clicking it and look at it's properties.
Naturally, a shortcut wouldn't work on other computers because the path it would have to take to find the same file on the other PC is not matching with yours.
They're not copies of the files, just provide a "shortcut" (duh). Instead of digging through the folders, the shortcut does that for you when clicking it. That's all.

My friend gifted me Spliter Cell : Conviction on Steam a year ago and asked me to play the co-op with him. I'm a huge fan of such games but never played one on PC. Back then, I had a GTX 680 in my PC and the game ran at somewhat playable frame rates. At some places tho, and I am not talking about the huge action-packed-effects-flying-everywhere-places, the game drops to like 10 fps.
This year I upgraded to an AMD FuryX and he upgraded to a Nvidia GTX 980Ti and we played again. Same problem. It drops to literally SINGLE DIGITS.

You start to notice poor console ports. That's how it feels.

Okay so I didn't really like how the entire build turned out. Major changes are gonna happen to it in the next few weeks, seriously altering it's appearance.
    Brace yourselves.
