    It's taking a while to transform my page (for spooky season :3), I did this much earlier last year; but now that my pixel illustrations don't match, I have to redo everything..

    as much as ai is terrible for the art/creative community, i dont really think we should be scared of it replacing us. even if it tries to convince us all that it's easier and better, and, oh, anyone can use it, there will be people who will disagree and continue to make human art. like me. and i have good reason to believe im not the only one out of eight billion people who would, lol.

    i read the ai safety infos website.

    must of the stuff i found was from 2017, or at the latest 2023. and they are talking about the exact same issues we have now. and they are being listed as warning shots, which are really important. depending on humanitys response it determines the course of wether we survive a disaster as a species, and how soon we regognise somethings wrong.

    and we arnt doing to well.

    all the stuff theyre talking about is happening.

    and all i want is to be sitting on my familys carpeted garage floor again in the summer holidays, as an 8yrold, listening to the radio and reading my childhood dads crappy 80s misogonistic problomatic as hell sci fi novels, that he didnt want to throw away, thats covers were practically falling apart, and reading about concepts like ai taking over and killing us all, and thinking how unrealistic it was and that would never happen in real life.

    i wish i still thought that. i wish i could reread my childhood novels and not be deeply disturbed by how similar they are to our reality.

    the warning shots are so, so fucking clear. good god.

    having a confirmed over 10% chance for extinction IS a big warning shot. not to mention thats only whats being revealed puplicly, which will likely be dwindled down to avoid panic and legal action, other studys point to chances as high as a 99% extinction rate for building super ais.

    it has gotten that bad in the background.

    wake tf up.

    i know i have a very small platform on here, but like anything helps. pls consider spreading awarness. tell ur family. tell ur friends. tell ur audience.

    i know you might disagree with me. thats ok. but pls consider what i have to say at the least. i am not trying to force my beleifs on anyone, just educate people about this and express my personal opinion. if people want sources i can give them. (:

    another entire evening wasted. simply wasted.
    i really meant to do something with myself this time.
    but starting was too intimidating, and i was too worried about one of my family members coming to ask me what i was doing without me having anything presentable to show them.
    again, i go to my bed to sleep, knowing the goings of tomorrow will come, and then they too will be gone. then the next day, then week, then month then year. nothing is truly the present anymore.
    time is of the essence. i must move before i run out of it. yet i am stagnant.

    edit* what perfect timing my mom comes to tell me that it's great another week of school is in the past.
    as much as i hate the place, what a show of how quickly we really ride along in this world. nothing is stopping for us.

    i love how i can tell my family members apart by their footsteps. like when i'm not looking, i can tell exactly who just walked into the room just by the speed, heaviness, and whatever other little things are there that i dont have a name for. i think this is partly because i always am listening to things in my headphones, so my brain has learned to let me know who's around based on the thumps on the floor
