¡Bueno! Quería hacer una pequeño post acerca de la siguiente major update de Mace Blasters y del estado del minijuego, así que... vamos allá! Esta publicación será pública pero principalmente va a las personas que le interesen el minijuego. Vamos a destripar lo que ha ocurrido los últimos meses.

Cómo habréis notado en la update v1.2 el minijuego se ha desvinculado de The Reminiscence "recientemente" y eso ha traido mucho impacto y cambios en mi vida, pero antes de eso vamos a remontarnos un poco más atrás. Tras alcanzar ciertos números en Mace Blasters (mucho antes del anuncio de la update) ya habíamos decidido Vorticepen y yo comenzar con el planteamiento de una siguiente update de forma lenta durante esos meses hasta el anuncio y efectivamente, ¡se nos fue de las manos! Separamos todo ese contenido en dos grandes updates (sí, habrá otra!) y decidimos anunciar la primera actualización.

Fuimos afianciando algunos conceptos pero tampoco teniamos mucho tiempo ni ganas todavía de ponernos con todo lo que supone el desarrollo hasta hace creo que unos ~2 meses, pero claro llegó mi salida de TR y con ello necesitaba darme un pequeño tiempo, junté este proyecto con otro que tenía ganas de empezar y así renació Shiro Mint, eventualmente dentro de no mucho comenzaré a crear contenido (¡eso incluye devlogs de Mace Blasters por cierto!)

Ahora hace unas semanas hemos comenzado oficialmente el desarrollo de nuevo, el lobby de esta versión esta casi completo y ahora estamos preparando otras instancias. Puedo deciros que esta updates es MUY grande y trae muchas cosas nuevas, va a ser casi como un juego nuevo y las anteriores versiones un "Early Access", aunque eso supone también por ejemplo rehacer prácticamente TODO el código del minijuego.

Como ya sabréis es la primera vez que "soy mapmaker" y que uso todas estas cosas de forma seria, al igual que Vorticepen es la primera vez que trabaja también con algo de estas características, pero estamos muy ilusionaros de ofreceros el mejor de nuestros trabajos. Junto a la v1.5 también se nos une Vaynilo, que me ayudará codo con codo con la programación y Addy que se encargará de daros un arte pixelart muy bonito dentro del minijuego, quizás haya mas cosas... pero esas las descubriréis poco a poco.

Por último decir que con la nueva versión intentaré hacer que Mace Blasters pueda ser traducido por todos aquellos que queráis llevarlo a vuestro idioma, tras la release de la major update intentaré abrir un Crowdin y un rol en el servidor de discord. Well! I wanted to write a short post about the next major update for Mace Blasters and the status of the minigame, so... let's get started! This post will be public, but it's mainly aimed at people who are interested in the minigame. Let's take a look at what's been happening over the last few months.

As you may have noticed in update v1.2, the mini-game has “recently” been decoupled from The Reminiscence, and that has had a big impact and brought about many changes in my life, but before that, let's go back a little further. After reaching certain numbers in Mace Blasters (long before the update was announced), Vorticepen and I had already decided to slowly start planning the next update during those months leading up to the announcement, and sure enough, it got out of hand! We split all that content into two major updates (yes, there will be another one!) and decided to announce the first update.

We were solidifying some concepts, but we didn't have much time or desire to get started on everything involved in development until about two months ago, I think. But then I left TR, and I needed to take a little time off. I combined this project with another one I wanted to start, and that's how Shiro Mint was reborn. Eventually, in the not-too-distant future, I'll start creating content (that includes Mace Blasters devlogs, by the way!).

A few weeks ago, we officially began development again. The lobby for this version is almost complete, and we are now preparing other instances. I can tell you that this update is VERY big and brings many new things. It will be almost like a new game, and the previous versions will be like “Early Access,” although that also means, for example, redoing practically ALL of the minigame code.

As you probably know, this is my first time "as a mapmaker" and using all this stuff seriously, and just like Vorticepen, it's also his first time working on something like this, but we're really excited to offer you the best of our work. Along with v1.5, we are also joined by Vaynilo, who will be helping me with the programming, and Addy, who will be responsible for providing you with beautiful pixel art within the minigame. There may be more things to come... but you will discover those little by little.

Finally, I would like to mention that with the new version, I will try to make Mace Blasters translatable by anyone who wants to translate it into their own language. After the release of the major update, I will try to open a Crowdin and a role on the Discord server.
