10 years later alpha channel/transparency is still underutilized most skinmaking programs are missing the feature to show how the arm looks like in first person that mod that makes the second layer 3D is the ugliest thing ever (following that, i'd prefer if shaders stopped making the second layer cast shadows on the base skin...) you shouldn't ever consciously reuse parts from old skins you made because you're denying yourself your improvement
also I understand that willingness to pay factors into a price as well but so many skinmakers charge way too little for the work they put out :(
friend of mine got their shading ripped by someone. happens often but this one's funny. friend asked the guy to credit them and got left on read. after another person asked, they actually did add credit, but ended up removing it after a few hours and calling my friend a "fucking subhuman" who should die. crazy scenes in the 64x64 canvas size .png community
