hey here's a random wallpost that absolutely no one asked for and idk why im posting it

I'm not sure how to start this, but I'll start by saying, don't assume people are okay. It's actually surprisingly easy to pretend your perfectly fine when you're not, especially online but also in real life. (talking from experience)

If a friend or someone close to you comes to you and talks about a way they feel/felt or thoughts that entail feeling worthless PLEASE DONT SAY "you shouldn't think like that" or "that's wrong"

(im talking from experience) because if they came to you, they probably already know that, and leaving the conversation at that just makes them horrible (maybe just me?) like actually thats a great way to make them feel worse

for me, it made me feel like i couldn't reach out to anyone, so i stopped trying to talk and just kept it to myself. so just dont say that?

im not sure what i would have wanted to hear, because being told that thats not true didnt really make me feel better. if something like this happens, dont leave the conversation and just continue on with life like it never happened, especially if the conversation didnt end on a better note

i have no idea why im making this, that was a long time ago, but here you are. some advice from me that makes no sense whatsoever

Oh we're really hitting the tough questions today lol

5) I could think of two things but I'll go with the easier one to say, full on dedication to a project or hobby, I got tons of them where they have a really strong start, really good plans, or high potential but I simply just got bored after a few weeks or months

29) It's very much a work in progress if I'm gonna be honest there

42) I'd probably never look for a job in manufacturing again, worked with so many hazardous materials with just about no safety precautions ontop of the mandatory overtime 60 hour work weeks

Mirrors just arrived, assembled the last few things and have applied the glue to them. Now it's just playing the waiting game and final assembly before calibration and first photos from the new telescope

Kinda haven't posted an update on the telescope in a bit. From what I can tell I have all the parts printed with the exception of the main mounting piece but that is not required for operation. Just waiting for the mirrors to arrive to finish building.

Telescope Update: The upper assembly I believe is entirely done excluding the fact my mirrors haven't arrived yet. Now onto printing the lower body.

Telescope update: The focuser and the spider are printed and came out super nice! Now I'm planning to print out the rest of the upper assembly and because I'm too impatient the main body is going to take 11 hours on my tiny 0.4mm nozzle.

Can yall do me a favor? When some dumb drama stuff happens DM me a link, I may not respond to you but I'll look at it. I am so incredibly sick and tired of logging on and looking at the wall post section only for it to be just whinging about drama. If you guys report it to me I'll look at it. Doing this mob thing about it aint working and its getting harder and harder for me to leave it be, step one to not leaving it be is going to be lots and lots of deleted wall posts cuz last I checked this isnt facebook and we dont need the drama here.

I am going to repost this any time I see some drama stuff until I have lost all patience for it, so please help me so I aint gotta be an absolute grinch in the wall section.

So the new telescope is half on hold, half starting. Basically the guy who designed it printed most of the parts with a 0.6mm nozzle, which I have but I also have an E3D Revo upgrade I could install, but no 0.6mm nozzles for it. I also haven't done a nozzle change before so I'd rather play safe and do the new hotend swap instead of a standard nozzle swap. I technically could also print the parts with my 0.4mm nozzle but it would take far longer and I'd like to keep it close to what the designer had done.

Until then I've begun working on some remixed designs of the telescope that aren't as critical and/or are designed with 0.4mm nozzles. Currently printing the first half of the camera/eyepiece mount. Also prepared the spider file for printing but not sure if I'll print it yet. I've also decided on using Olive Green and Matte Black for the colors. Finally, I've ordered all the non-printed parts and have atleast half of them already delievered.

I've released a lot of my content under the CC0 Public Domain Dedication. I won't necessarily do that for all of my content since some of my content might be based on third-party copyrighted works, but I typically try to release stuff either into the public domain or under a free (as in freedom) license when I am able. There's a tutorial blog which talks about using Creative Commons licenses, although oddly it doesn't include CC0 among the listed licenses. This blog, however, briefly discusses the public domain in one part.
