I'm looking forward to being like, 75, and accumulating a pantry with all kinds of stuff in it. My grandma's pantry was like that and I remember when she found some 99% alcohol in there that she'd gotten in japan in the 70s and brought home before it was illegal to import 😭

you might be quick to say, “well of course the steel would be the heaviest! feathers are light and shrimps are small, the steel easily outclasses them both!”

but you must stop to consider. what if the shrimps ate two steel? two steel is heavier than one steel, because two is heavier than one. this would make the pound of shrimp the heaviest.

Going on a rant here,
the sheer lack of empathy and enormous amount of mental gymnastics it takes to be Christian just shocks me when I really think about it. So, you like me as a person and you're my friend, cool, but you think I'm sinning by living my life the way I do. Hmm. And you worship an invisible force who is definitely a guy and not a woman because that would be unimaginable, but he's actually 3 guys who are really just 1 guy. and you love him, he makes you happy, he's everything good, but you also truly believe that he will torture me for eternity if I don't repent and start worshipping him. And instead of realizing how fucked up that is, you ignore it, because one of the requirements of being Christian is that you don't ever question god in any real way.
the whole "no tears or sadness in heaven" adds another layer to it too! I don't ever want to only feel bliss. There are things I never want to forget that make me myself. What do you mean I won't have empathy any more?? I've been through so much for the past decade now and despite it all I'm a kind person.
I've had OCD since I was really little and it took me so long to realize that nobody cared when I was a 7yo with religious OCD because being "extra religious" is a virtue. Your own suffering is seen as noble, and if I hadn't left the church by coincidence I might still be like that, and nobody would care, because suffering is noble. the church is especially fundamentally abusive to neurodivergent kids; you can't be different, you need to be docile and unquestioning and afraid of being different and most of all you can't question the guy who loves you unconditionally (terms and conditions apply), because he will torture you forever if you leave him but who would ever leave him because he's everything good and he's love and light and he loves you.

I've been hearing something calling out near my house for the past week and I thought it was a kitten at first but I just happened to hear a peacock in a video and that's the exact same noise?? It would be weird but plausible if it is a peacock because it's stayed in the same place for a while now and it's definitely a bird.
I just realized that over the past week I keep thinking about the random peacock that lived on my friend's farm that just moved in one day so maybe I subconsciously recognized the sound lol

If my grandfather hadn't been wearing steel capped boots when a tank ran over his feet in WWII he might not have survived to have my mother so the lesson here is that you shouldn't fuck around with time travel and steal some poor sod's boots or who knows what might happen. Yep, most likely! I mean there's skinfight going on and it's quite a big motivation to continue making skins... After it's over I'll see, I'll probably post a few more skins and then lurk around, depending on my mood. I've found that I really like the community here, so that's a big reason to stay
