To those who commented on my last post, just gonna post a lil update. I'm planning to ask them out soon. Perhaps through a video if I can. Thanks for the encouragement! ;w;
* A wild Totocchio has arisen from their hibernation.
Sup peeps! I'm sad. Basically I like someone and it's gotten to the point of me wanting to ask them out but I have no idea how or when and there's so much stuff confusing me and smh- Send help.
Hey, welcome back! And as for the advice, just don't worry and go for it. Dating is not a game of numbers and when to ask out, but instead being honest with your partner and cherishing the times you have with them.
ok but like I see people not understanding what being trans* is like all over the internet and I just wanna clear up exactly what gender dysphoria is and why it sucks
ok so basically, gender dysphoria is a condition that you experience when your brain and body have developed as different genders for example, your body may have male chromosomes and male... bits... but your brain may have developed as a female the reason that this causes people to transition is because, well, you can't change your brain's gender, how your brain identifies but you can change your body to match your brain
sometimes your brain develops in such a way as to not identify as male or female, which is where nonbinary peeps come in, in all meanings of the term genderqueer, demigender, demigirl, demiboy, genderfluid, just nonbinary, etc.
intersex is not an entirely different sex to male and female, it is a mixture of the two
the way your body develops is your sex, the way your brain develops is your gender, that's the difference that many people don't understand
I just wanted to get this all off my chest coz I see a lot of people not understanding it properly and tbh that's the cause of a lot of hate towards trans* people - just a lack of understanding
it's not a choice and tbh if I could be cis I would heccin love that
I have done a bit of research, but now that I've got a few options to work with, it'll make things much easier for me. Here's what I have to say about all those options you listed: 1. Yeah, that could be the case. Maybe the best option is the simplest. 2. This could also be possible. A lot of my traits are more on the male side, but I occasionally act feminine. I might need to research this one more, because if I'm more like this option, it would be quite funny to call myself a "Demiguy" like Maui did in Moana (Even though he's clearly a guy, lol). 3. This is a definite no. I sometimes wish I could be completely male, but that's not gonna happen. 4. This right here is quite a small possibility now that I'm older, because I'll sometimes act feminine when I have to protect my hair from getting cut short or when I have to babysit kids for a while.
There's a few possibilities depending on exactly how you experience this. 1. You could just be a masculine female. To be completely fair, the traits you've mentioned are more stereotypical. Some guys like cute things and gems. Some girls love bugs and Transformers. 2. If you genuinely feel mostly male, but not entirely, you could be a demiboy. 3. You could be trans if you feel entirely male. 4. You could be genderfluid if you switch between feeling like a female, a male, etc. I recommend doing some individual research. It's a tough thing to figure out but you can do it! :D
Interesting! So what does that make me if my brain is mostly male-like (Doesn't mind being called "sir," Loves video games, collects boy toys like Transformers, enjoys most shooters, loves bugs, doesn't mind gross things, not completely emotional, loves fight scenes in movies and outside observations, flirts like a guy would, hates makeup, hates clothes shopping, etc.) with some feminine traits (Loves cute things, likes gems, gets emotional when someone dies/breaks-up, etc.), yet I've got a completely feminine body that loves to make me suffer from shark week pains?
the thing is this post was explaining what gender dysphoria is and totocchio identifies as nonbinary(which is apart of the trans community) so saying something like that directly to someone in the trans community is extremely rude and offensive especially saying they'll never be the gender they want to be, no matter what is just a really hateful message and i hope you learn and grow from saying things like that and learn how to be more respectful and use less hateful wording to express your opinion! <3
oh gosh sorry i wasn't trying to start a war i was freaking tired last night i'm not trying to be hateful i'm just stating my opinion if you want people to accept your opinions, you should accept other's opinions as well please ignore me i don't want to start a fight .-.
