Any part of a plant that bears seeds is a fruit (including berries, pods, and fruits) and every other part of a plant is a vegetable (roots, stalk, leaves). They do tend to taste more like vegetables because of their acidity, and have even been ruled as a vegetable for the public school system, but they are biologically a fruit.
