I was... But I forgot to read the rules. The contest doesn't take high resolution mob skins. So I spent a couple hours doing a skin that couldn't be entered anyway. So. Now I just have a creepy mob skin.

I've learned a lesson today. I should actually read rules before entering contests ;-;

Happened the same to me. I didn't see it say anywhere that I can't make a 2x skin, but then when I submitted, I couldn't. So I just rolled with it and downscaled the skin. You can do the same :)
