In some stories, some zombies are slow. Just like Minecraft Zombie are same speed.

The walking dead in that world every living person like Steve has somehow already contracted zombie virus, which lies dormant until you die at which point.
Steve was got infected by epidemic disease, and he turn into a zombie. Or you become a zombie after you get bite by Minecraft Zombie. In survival mode Just like Villagers did bite by Zombies.
What happen Steve’s immune system? Epidemic like Zombie Covid will weakens the Steve’s body’s immune response (like Macrophages, Lymphocytes, and Phagocytes).
That why you will become a Zombie.
