Optifine Version: https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/addolotls-optifine-or-entity-texture-features/

Yes, the mod has a bad pun as the name. No, I won't do a thing about it.

The goal of this mod was to feel so vanilla that Mojang could just implement any of these variants tomorrow, and no one would know the difference. I would want people to wonder why they hadn't added more versions sooner. I hope that is the experience you get while using this mod. If it isn't, tell me what I messed up. I want this to be an enjoyable experience.

My copper buckets pack I forgot to credit: https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/1-19-copper-buckets-resource-and-behavior-pack-bedrock/ It actually changes the recipe too if you want.

Critical details and known bugs
You cannot bucket a non-vanilla axolotl without naming it first. Any and all bug reports mentioning this will be ignored. I tried everything, the only fix is to either not release the mod, or to wait until more of the bucket code gets added to the vanilla behavior pack. So, because of this a name tag recipe has been included. All you need is 2 paper. Recipe is shapeless.

All of the axolotls have names that should appear even in the buckets, but do not. The en_us.lang file does not work for some reason. I think it is related to the bucket code.

Similar Mod
This is another mod. It has the same issues, but not as bad. https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/more-axolotls-variants/ If you want a more stable experience, try that mod out. It has fewer variants, but the textures are every bit as good. Given the way the variants have to be added, you have to pick one mod. Both cannot be installed together.

Installation Instructions
To install, just rename the zip file to mcaddon. It will tell you not to, but it will work fine. Tap or double click on it to open it with Minecraft. If minecraft doesn't automatically add it to the game, you will have to figure out where your resource pack and behavior pack folders are. It's under games/com.mojang/ on android. It's under C:\Users\YourUserNamel\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang on Windows. You can extract the zip archive and find the Behavior pack and Resource pack inside.

1.19 Compatible?
This mod was made with 1.19 in mind. Now that the minecraft:tadpole exists, these axolotls will eat it for lunch.

What does the mod add?
It adds 15 new axolotl variants. In alphabetical order, they are: Axanthic, CFP, Copper, Enigma, GFP, Glow, Green, Lavender, Melanoid, Pricey, RFP, Rhythm, Sand, Sculk, Uguisu, and White. Some of the names are weird because I wanted one word names for each. You may notice the names are colored. that is so you can see which is which color without even having to leave this page.
Axanthic is a real axolotl, and it is a pretty gray color. It is if I understand, a wild axolotl with no green coloring, so it becomes gray.
CFP is a possible color, but does not exist. More details under the GFP.
Copper is a real axolotl color, and the name is right. This one is a light melanoid if I am correct.
Enigma is an incredibly rare axolotl from only one breeder, it is a wild green axolotl with gold speckles.
GFP is a real glowing axolotl. It is normally a leucistic or gold albino when the fluorescent light is off, but can be any variant. That is impossible to code to my knowledge, so it remains seperate.
Glow is a glowing Dalmatian axolotl added for parity with the Optifine version.
Green is a fake color, but looks almost exactly like I imagine the final version of the cut green axolotl that even made it into the 1.17 trailer would.
Lavender is another fake axolotl, but some axolotls can look slightly purpley in the right light. Usually axanthic.
Melanoid is like a wild axolotl, but darker, and less green, some even look purpley in real life. I am unsure if it's pigments are darker wild, or darker axanthic.
Pricey is a real axolotl, one of a kind and expensive, it is white with speckles. It is thought to be a Dirty Leucistic axolotl.
RFP is a real axolotl, like the GFP but with a different color of protein. More details under the GFP.
Rhythm is a blue Silver Dalmatian, also known as Axanthic.
Sand is a lighter Copper axolotl.
Sculk is a fake axolotl, colored like 1.19 sculk, inspired by MAVM, but textured by me.
Uguisu is just a green wild axolotl, but I needed a short name. These are the most common and cheapest axolotls.
White is a cut white axolotl design.

Showcase Videos
Below are two showcase videos. The Java version is a better showcase, but the bedrock version is there for anyone who doubts that the mod works in both versions. The Bedrock showcase is outdated, but is only missing one texture, and one recipe. The Java version is currently unreleasable because it is just MAVM but with the variant code hijacked, and the textures file replaced. Since there is no more "Glowxolotl" a lot of code goes to waste.

2 Update Logs

Update #2 : by JoeEnderman 06/18/2022 9:10:51 pmJune 19, 2022 @ 1:10 am UTC

The preview no longer shows all variants, sorry.
Added Glow axolotl for parity.
Made small adjustments to several textures so all axolotls don't have identical facial patterns.
Added several splash texts that don't seem to show up in game.

Fico feliz que você goste do mod. Mas lembre-se de nomear os axolotls antes de colocar em baldes.
