Ever felt like mining takes too long? Wish Mojang actually made Copper an actual metal rather than a decor block posing as a metal? I did.



So, here's the gist: Copper in my mod is fast like gold. But it is hard enough to break the same blocks and provide the same protection as iron. Durability is just over half the iron equivalent for each item. Except horse armor which sits between gold and diamond due to an unusually large gap in the numbers. (gold is the second best horse armor in vanilla)

I even almost added horse armor. But it does not render because Mojang decided that Horse armor should be hardcoded. So, you can apply Copper horse armor to horses, but cannot see it. I left it creative only for that reason. I also played with adding all of the copper stuff to villager trades, but it corrupts villagers for some reason, and not in a funny way, so was removed.

Otherwise for working as intended stuff you get pickaxe, axe, hoe, shovel, sword, chestplate, helmet, boots, leggings. For them to have durability and have proper breaking speed etc you have to turn on holiday creator features. Nothing else is required. I recommend you pair this with my copper buckets mod, copper powered rails mod, and with the 1.21 copper blocks to give yourself a lot more copper to play with.

Why now of all times? I had made this for private use on a server of my own, but I spent so much time polishing it that I figured someone else might as well get the chance to play with it.



I only know how to mod Bedrock, so sorry that there is no Java port, but there are better ones over there already. This only exists because I wanted a very particular balance.

Also, I did indeed make every texture myself using a heavily butchered version of the Copper ingot palette from vanilla. Sorry if my textures look identical to someone else's, not much me or they can do if we want to use the same base palette (vanilla copper things) and same base shapes.
