A Vanilla+ adventure featuring two unique skeletons, rewarding progression, and a loyal golden companion.


Overview

Auric Skeleton expands Minecraft with two unique skeleton variants designed to feel like a natural extension of vanilla gameplay.

The addon introduces new survival progression, exploration rewards, custom combat mechanics, and a loyal companion system while keeping the balance and atmosphere of Minecraft.

Auric Skeleton

Auric Skeleton is a friendly companion rather than a hostile monster.

It does not spawn naturally and can only be obtained through gameplay progression.

After being summoned, it becomes a permanent ally capable of defending your base, protecting villages, joining your adventures, or standing guard wherever you choose.

Features:

  • Useful for defensive builds and multiplayer worlds


Blighted Skeleton

Blighted Skeleton is a dangerous hostile skeleton that naturally appears in Crimson Forests.

It introduces both ranged and melee combat styles, creating more challenging encounters while remaining balanced for Survival gameplay.

Defeating Blighted Skeleton allows players to begin the journey toward obtaining an Auric Skeleton.

Progression

Your journey begins in the Crimson Forest.

  1. Defeat a Blighted Skeleton.
  2. Collect a Golden Bone.
  3. Craft a Golden Bond using a Golden Bone, Emerald, and Gold Nugget.
  4. Use the Golden Bond on a Gold Block.
  5. Summon your own Auric Skeleton companion.


Every reward is earned through gameplay, creating a progression system that naturally fits Survival Minecraft.

• Melee attacks now inflict Poison.
• Rage Mode now inflicts Fatal Poison.

Blighted Skeleton

• Rage Mode now inflicts Nausea.

Balance

• Rebalanced status effect durations.
• Effects now last between 60–80 ticks.

Loot

• Completely redesigned equipment loot tables.
• Completely redesigned entity loot tables.
• Improved equipment variety.
• Improved equipment progression.
• Improved enchantment distribution.

Technical

• Removed assume_symmetry from the Golden Bond recipe.
• Removed the Wither tag from Blighted Skeleton.
• Piglins no longer attack Blighted Skeleton as a Wither-type mob.
• Improved vanilla compatibility.
• Improved behavior consistency.
• Improved long-term maintainability.
