The Back to Ores mod is possibly the most helpful mod in Minecraft.
The mod allows you to turn coal and other items, back into their ore state.
This can currently be done with:
Coal
Redstone
Iron
Gold
Diamond
Emerald

I am currently working on Lapis and more items.
This mod makes it possible for you to make awesome creations using ores, or make a giant diamond farm.
Freak out your friends on LAN or make an awesome YouTube video of finding huge amounts of Diamonds or Emeralds when mining.

To create a successful farm, you need a pickaxe with the FORTUNE enchantment.
There is more information on how to do this in the mod file.

You may use this in whatever way you want in single player and LAN mode
If possible, you can use this on your server, but only if you have my name in the server
You may distribute this mod in mod packs, if you ask me
You must show recognition to me if you distribute this mod

Yes you can.
By having fortune, when you place a diamond block down and mine it, it can produce more than 1 diamond.
Therefore you can make more diamond ore, and more diamonds from that.

you can possibly combat this by creating duplicate blocks which look exactly the same and drop exactly the same , same name and stuff, just a different ID, therefore ppl cannot dupe it with silk touch because its your own new blocks , it will look the same, work the same but people cant dupe.

basically, make a duplicate of all of the ores you want to be craftable, make them have same texture , same ingame name , same material and so on ( as the normal ores ) . then, make them drop the same thing, but when mined with fortune. theyll drop only one because its not a normal minecraft ore, then, set your recipes to return them modded ores so they do the same thing but instead then arent dupable with fortune.
