Husks drop sand and glass if killed by fire.

Skeletons in the Nether drops quartz.

Dark Oak saplings drops twice as often.

Sand dyeable to Redsand, with red or orange dye.

If you've ever build something big in survival involving glass, you know how annoying it is to collect. First you have to excavate a desert (which makes sense, but looks ugly) and then having to smelt it which takes way to long. So having Husks drop sand and glass if killed by fire makes glass easier to loot and since husks don't burn in daylight you won't wake up to a bunch of glass blocks, on the ground. You'll either need fire aspect or kill them with lava/fire. Also this will leave you deserts nice and un-excavated.

Quartz seems like a very rare building block (shouldn't be) because it takes so long to collect and you get one block per 4 ores (without Fortune). So having Skeletons in the Nether drop some not only makes sence, since quartz are native to the Nether, but also doesn't make it to common if you just run around in there. But could easely be farmable if you build a Wither Skeleton farm (you'll get an occasional normal Skeleton) or a normal mob farm and send the Skeletons to the Nether.

Dark Oak is also a material that's annoyingly hard to farm, since you almost never ger enough saplings. Because you need 4 per tree. I did some testing and you get way to many if you multiply the drop sance by 4 so x2 is more balanced and gives enough.

Redsand is a very cool building block but mesa biomes usually generate with just some small beaches but the majority is Hardened Clay and the above part being just Grass and Dirt. Making Sand dyeable to Redsand encourage players to use it more.
