Vanilla Minecraft has a decent amount of biomes.
Why not add more, with some additional mobs, items, a new dimension and so on?
This mod has many interesting additions, such as:
New biomes, like the frostbite plains, a cold landscape with frozen trees and boars. Or the overgrown jungle, much more vast in wildlife.
New mobs, like the ladromid, the thing you see on the mod icon, a large ratite. Don't anger it.
A new dimension, the Lumiverse, the home of many new things that glow.
And more.
Note: To access the Lumiverse, it is advised to use blocks of luminescence and a Lumiverse portal igniter.

Added six new mobs:
Mandrill - a neutral mob, that spawns in jungle biomes. It's a primate.
Roamer - a rare, surreal mob, which is aggressive towards the player, resembling a jack-o'-lantern with long legs.
Daeodon. Dinosaurs are not coming to Minecraft, sure. But what about creatures from the Cenozoic? This mob is aggressive not only towards the player, but also every other creature around it, including other daeodons. Fun fact: daeodons and other entelodonts are NOT pigs, they're related to hippopotami and whales.
Haystalk - a hostile mob, resembling a hay bale. It spawns in plains, hopefully finding a village, in which it can wait for any players to ambush.
Cassowary - the second ratite to appear in this mod, but it's an actual animal from real life, rather than just some elephant bird with a somewhat original name slapped on it.
Reptilititan - a new boss mob. While the two vanilla bosses fly, this one is terrestrial. It either drops scutes, ferns or a rare item - it's eye, which could have a purpose later on.
Removed two mobs:
Leviafin, due to it being broken.
Tasmanian devil - a mob I completely forgot about. It was added in the Terrors and Travels update. It was a small, neutral marsupial that spawned in the oceanic steppes. It was removed due to complications.
The blue marguerite now only spawns in warmer biomes, because they grow in South Africa. So that's that.
Changed the texture of a painting, removed another one, but added a new one.
A new biome - the lush mountains. It's a mountainous biome, sometimes generating near the extreme hills. It consists of lush stone. You probably know what it is by now.
Remember when I said that you can make blocks from amber, and that's the only thing you can do with it? Now it has a use. The amber block now can be enchanted with a new, rare enchantment, called Resurrection. Once the block is enchanted, you can simply place it down to use it. And guess what happens. The Reptilititan spawns. It has no spawn egg, making it's summoning similar to that of the Wither.
The music disc, known as Surf has now been changed to another one, called Creativity. It was composed by me, so you might see some signs of iffy quality.
When breaking jungle leaves, there's a chance of it dropping 1-2 bananas. Mandrills like them.
Remodeled the boar. Now it's not concerning to anyone.
Gave some mobs their own unique sounds.
