Cardinal's Chat Head Patch

Versions (Please Read)

Please read this entire section before installing the extension. There is very important information you need to know about the various versions.

1. The direct download option will give you version v1.0. This has a few issues. Some chat heads will just randomly not load and the only fix is to reload the page. If you change between 2D and 3D chat heads, you will have to reload the page for changes to take effect. I do not encourage anyone to install this version.
2. The Chrome Web Store option for v0.3 will give you the stable release, which is slower and has much more sloppy and unconventional code. However, this is the only version with no known issues. If you change between 2D and 3D chat heads, you will have to reload the page for changes to take effect.
3. The Chrome Web Store option for v1.3 will give you the latest INDEV release. This version automatically updates chat heads when you switch between 2D and 3D heads. it is the only version where the "Reload Chat Heads" option is guaranteed to work for every chat head. There are some inexplicable issues which I am currently trying to fix, but for the most part it works. If a new user joins the chat, his head will sometimes load in the user list but not in the message list, and sometimes it will load in the message list but not the user list. Sometimes it will not load at all (this is more infrequent though). You will have to reload the page for his head to load.

Between v0.3 and v1.3, I cannot choose which to promote. They each have their own trade-offs. It is up to the end user to decided if he prefers performance or reliability.

How to Use

1. Install the extension through the Chrome Web Store.
2. Reload the chat page.

      - or -

1. Manually download and install the extension (see video).
2. Reload the chat

To access the settings, click the extension icon in the top right of the window.

NOTE: You will not receive update notices or automatic updates if you manually install the extension.

The Heads are Still Not Loading!

1. Reload the chat page.

      - or -

1. Click the extension icon in the top right of Chrome.
2. Click "Settings."
3. Increase the load delay using the number spinner. You want this delay to be slightly longer than the time it takes for the chat to load. Try a couple different values.
4. Reload the chat page.

1. Click the extension icon in the top right of Chrome.
2. Click "Reload Chat Heads."
3. (NOTE: You need to have the chat opened for this option to work)
