Minecraftia was once a beautiful land, filled with hundreds of animals, tall grasses and flowers and interesting places hidden away. But then it happened. The day that no one saw coming, That Day. On That Day everything was killed. Animals all gone! No more grass nor flowers. no more hidden places. All that was left was lumps of dirt. Then the rivers and lakes started filling, but not with water-with blood. And so this is minecraftia now, a desolate place. A Dead Mess. Can you survive it?

This mod overrides several world generation features in minecraft, thus giving it an empty feel. There are no more trees, flowers or cacti, only dirt. The rivers have been replaced by a custom fluid known as "blood". All the overrides can be changed in the config, although keeping some enabled and disabling others may cause funny looking world gen (eg. disable Blood Lakes but leave Blood Rivers). Any issues, please contact me on twitter (@dmf444) or here. Also if you would like a small feature added in, don't hesitate to ask!

My opinion. add some trees without leaves. that way people have to be conservative on their wood, but will still have some access to it

You're going to need some wood... You could have tree roots that break into stick, and have a recipe for some sort of makeshift planks. Or... you could have a rare bush or two scattered around with a single log, and some leaves, so people can grow their own. You might want to make the living mobs more scarce, as well. There's no grass to feed on. In a wasteland like that, storms would likely occur more often as well. You could have dead trees that can't be used for anything but coal, and attract lightning. I'd also add some bugs. They are more likely to survive than animals.

Some good ideas here. Not sure how many I can implement, but definatly look forward to new releases.

So....you've basically taken the entire Minecraft world and made it into an area where you don't have any means of getting started.

._.

Basically, but this works well for Modpack Creators, because they can control when you get your resources. A great example of this would be Limited by Vantazzy75. Not to say that you cannot play this alone, there is a weird recipie to get grass back...

Please send it my way, because i try to fix any errors i've made. Also for 1.8 just make sure you're on the latest 1.8 forge version as some version cannot render fluids (and thus blood lakes crash)
