The Mod is has got a complete rewrite for 1.12, and is re-branded to FVTM,
thus it will not be compatible with the 1.11.2 version.

This mod is currently in "alpha", meaning features may be added or completely removed on any update, backup your worlds!


Dependencies:

Known Addons:
  • GEP - General Essentials Pack
  • FVP - Fex's Vehicle Pack
  • ZMP - Zack's Model Projects (available in our discord server on request)

Installation:
- FVMT and FCL go into the /mods folder
- all Addons go into the /addons folder

Features (for creators)
  • make new content with the minimal simplicity level of a Minecraft Resourcepack(in fact it partially is loaded into the game as Resourcepack)
  • various model types accepted: Java (TMT), OBJ (in testing!), JTMT
  • JTMT is a custom Json model format which allows for use of Shapeboxes and similar like in Java-TMT models, but doesn't need compiling since it's a json model.
  • advanced part-based system to customize vehicles as far as possible, parts in fact can change some of the vehicle's behaviour
  • API - Want to register hardcoded vehicles, parts, materials or fuels? No problem! Just make use of the API, and register the stuff in the right Forge Registry Event (that's a 1.12+ forge feature)
  • Hybrid Addons, you can both have an addon partially made from pure json, but aswel put into some java code to make it even fancier, in fact, the required base addon is an Hybrid addon.
  • possibility to repaint vehicles into all RGB colours
  • scripts - which give you access to the most important events in the vehicle, and since they are in java, you can directly access anything else in Minecraft which you may need, additionally with inbuilt methods for simple server-client synchronisation

Hey, I am trying to download the 1.12 version, but I get a crash error. This it what it says: The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/flansmod/fvtm/LandVehicle

Hmm, iirc there is T1, OT1, C2, C5 (fresh), C7, AB1-B, all should have enough parts to setup and drive them.

T1 & OT1 have exchange-able cargo parts.

Take a look into the "presets" tab in creative inventory, and/or also in the Constructor at "Part Settings" take a look into "required parts" (scroll down via up/down arrows).

when i open creative inventory i can't find any items, why is that happening. If there is some other items or links i need to download pls let me know

You need at least the "GEP" and "FVP" addons.

Also, do put them into the ./minecraft/addons/ folder.

Not anything has recipes yet.

Any which are available, should be in the "FCL BlueprintTable".

  • Water Vehicles (Ships/Boats) are possible to make since recently,
  • Rail Vehicles (Trains/Wagons) may be available in some months when Trains-In-Motion will be out,
  • Air Vehicles - clueless.

    Or do you mean different Land Vehicle Types? That's up to addon makers.

I just checked the latest one and it worked fine.

Can You Update FVP? Because when i was finish putting the parts on T1 Truck It just crashed, It's said The game crashed whilst unexpected error

where are the wheels because none of the cars have wheels. plus there is no air water or rail vehicles.

Wheels are installed slightly different, one of the videos should be showing how to.


Also other vehicle types are planned, but do not exists yet.
Hey when i download GEP and FVP and put them in the mods folder or the flan folder nothing shows up ingame. please help

GEP and FVP are addons of THIS mod,
thus of FVTM (Fex's Vehicle and Transportation Mod)

They go to the /addons folder.


This is not Flansmod, nor do addons/contentpacks be cross-compatible.

ok thank you but are you going to put realy nice cars like a lambergini or a bugati because this is the easiest mod to download. also did you make the flans mod because if you did than it would be helpful if you updated it to 1.12. and lastly, fex you rock.

My FlansMod branch is called "FlansMod Minus", and it is updated to 1.12,
on current state, FVTM needs FlansMod Minus to run.

About the cars, unless someone makes the models, no fancy sport cars.

At least one or two videos showed how to install wheels.

Not by simple right-click, go to part settings, select part, and then "install as".

May seem complicated first time, but this way it allows to install every wheel separately, or even use different wheels in one vehicle.

The game crashed whilst there was a severe problem during mod loading that has caused the game to fail

You need experience points.

You can get them for making posts/projects/mods/blogs/ETC, you also get experience for diamonds and favourites on your posts/content.

This mod (FVTM) isn't a port, it's a completely new mod.

If you mean Flansmod Minus, packs for 1.8 should work, and some say 1.7 packs tend to work too.
Just make sure all asset names are lowercase for MC 1.11+, else there will be texture errors.

Yes and no.
There are at least 3 ways to make an addon.
- use api and embed into a mod (programming)
- make a half json config / half programmed
- it's possible to make an addon purely just using json configs

just moved addons to addons folder and it works better. still dosen't have all the features in it (btw FVP download for 1.12 isn't working)

Just updated the mod, flansmod minus, fcl and the addons.

Checked the FVP download and seems to be working fine (I mean the new version).

So maybe try that.
