This great new mod adds a new ore and item to Minecraft. The ore is called Firestone Ore. It is rare but valuable and can only be found deep underground, just 30 blocks from the bedrock. Firestone Ore comes in veins of approximately 4 and when mined, each Firestone Ore drops 2 Firestone. Firestone is great for furnaces. Each Firestone can be used to burn a whole stack of 64 items! If you mine Firestone Ore with a pickaxe with the Gentle Touch enchantment, you can put Firestone Ore in a furnace and get 2 Firestone. Firestone is rare but if you dig deep enough and long enough you can find some of this fantastic ore!

This is my first mod on PMC so please leave feedback... :)

This mod requires Modloader.

I agree. You could still use it as a fuel source, but when put in the top slot of the furnace, it created an ingot, and that ingot can then be used to craft tools and armour. You could even give them special abilities.
