This mod adds a new material to the game called a Metal Rod. Metal Rods can be smelted by placing two iron ingots in a furnace (See screenshot). Metal Rods can be used to craft better tools and weapons. You simply replace the Stick(s) with Metal Rods. This will make the tool/weapon stronger.

Note that this mod works using Wooden>Stone>Iron>Gold>Diamond, so upgrading an iron tool will actually make it worse (equivalent to gold), upgrading a gold tool will significantly improve to (equivalent to diamond) and upgrading diamond will actually do nothing but change the appearance.

IMPORTANT
Wooden tools can only be crafted using Oak Wood Planks.
